Good morning ~ The broom is cool and those cookies are adorable! Happy to hear everything went smooth last night. I had a good day yesterday and was able to complete my reports early this month - yay! Today I have a lot of little things to take care of and an audit exit meeting on this short work day. After work I am meeting an old friend for lunch, grocery shopping and heading home. Along with golf and hiking and maybe pickleball if I'm feeling adventurous, all I really want to do this weekend is nest.

QOTD - No podcasts or films, but I'm reading 3 things right now - I just started Table for Two - Towles, in the middle of The Breakaway - Weiner (loving this one), and re-reading Your Money or Your Life. Still watching Shogun and waiting for new seasons of my favorite shows to return.

Accountability - perfect. 178.0. W2, D5 done! Two solid weeks of treadmill every weekday and I still can't believe it. I've decided that next week I'm bumping it up to 30 minutes minimum - I'm there.

B- coffee, yogurt, granola

l - TBD

D-breakfast burritos

s- jerky

Have a great day

Good morning, everybody!

Marilyn's flight got in a bit late last night, so we didn't get home until about midnight. Today I am in the office, although I would really like to work from home today. I have to be in a certain amount in order to retain my dedicated office. Although I would prefer to be fully remote, if I am going to be in, I want to be in my office rather than have to hotel to a new spot each day. At least for the next 16 months or so. If they take away my office in my last year, I will just work remotely.

Tonight's workout seems like it could be spicy - 100 burpee box jump overs (20 inch) with a 15 minute time cap. I will just try and do 7 a minute for as long as I can keep that up. I suspect I may go over the time limit, though. Other than that, a pretty low key weekend. I may get fitted for running shoes tomorrow and we are having brunch with my sisters on Sunday. The weather here is supposed to be beautiful.

QOTD: We really enjoyed Happy Valley and are looking for a new series like that. On network we are watching Tracker and Fire Country. They are OK. I read Fields of Fire recently which i thought was very good. I think that i am going to start re-reading some things that i haven't read for a bit.

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: steak

Dinner: I have a leftover hamburger, but Marilyn may want something else

Have a great day, all

We finally made it to Friday!!! Thank god. I have meetings from 9-6:30 but the 5 and 6 meetings are with former mentees from my last company so they are personal catchups. I'm excited! My 9 am meeting though...it's going to be a doozy. It will either be "energetic" or "a complete ****show". I am banking on the latter!

Q: I am watching Top Chef and it's so good. Even though a favorite of mine got the boot this week. I am trying to read the Women by Kristin Hannah but never seem to have the time. My loan is about to end (Libby app).

This weekend should be good - I'm in DC all day tomorrow and then I have brunch with friends in Old Town Alexandria at a frou frou French place Sunday. Im getting a cheese plate!

B: rotisserie chicken from yesterday and goat cheese

L: Leftover pasta with chicken sausage, emphasis on sausage

D: tbd - likely more chicken since I picked one up at the grocery store yesterday My Giant has anemic little chickens but the meat falls off the bone and they are so delicious! I guess that's what happens when all your friend's fat is sizzling off their body and basting you in the oven LOL

Have a fabulous weekend all!

You and the Queen's shoes side by side is hysterical! So is your agenda for the day. You'll have to come back and let us know the gender and age spread of the Woodworking get together! Have so much fun!

Hi gang. We're a little below zero here this morning. I declared spring already. I don't know why the weather is refusing.

I'm taking off for Connecticut shortly. Fine Woodworking Magazine and a Hartford woodworking school where I've taken a bunch of classes are having an open house. It'll be nice to see some folks I haven't gotten together with in quite a while.

Here's a couple of pictures from our weekend away in Maine. It's really hard to find identical shoes in both our sizes.

Morning y'all. Those cookies are adorable QJB!

I have a busy day ahead. I need to finally apply at the clinic...being sick for a week is for the birds. Then I have an appointment at the same clinic with my PCP this afternoon. I'm pretty sure I have good ol' thrush in my mouth and throat. Classic symptoms. Hopefully I'll get some nystatin or anything to help. I am feeling a tiny bit better. I have had a lot of low blood sugars this week. Even with cutting back on insulin. It's weird. Had a 51 last night and man did it just about do me in. My tasters off so food isn't appealing, I had to drink a regular coke just to get it going up...I need to get some of those gel BS boosters at the pharmacy.

QOTD: my most favorite song right now is Gone(reimagined) by Atreyu. As for TV, we're watching the new season of Drain the Oceans on Disney +

food is mush, I may blend some ham.

A meme and a pic I took a few years back.

Good morning and happy Friday! Glad there was no need for the emergency app yesterday!

Good Morning! The event last night went off with no issues. They moved it to a super secret location and so even though the protest did happen, it was on the other side of campus so I never saw them. I assume it was a peaceful protest because we have an emergency alert app and I never got anything.

I am glad to have a WFH day today. I have a few zoom meetings but I have a lot of time to get caught up and organized which feels like a dream :)

QOTD: Round up! What books, podcasts, films or shows are you watching? I have been listening to some fun fast psychological thriller audiobooks from B.A. Paris. I like them because they are short and bingeable. I also listened to a podcast called Hello, John Doe. The story was hella interesting, but I thought the way the podcast was done was really problematic. If anyone else listens to it, I would love to hear what you think.

Pics are: My cobweb broom! And some Star Wars cookies :)

So sorry that I am running a menu thread with no menu for 2 days in a row, lol. But yesterday I ate out all day and today I need to eat down the fridge because I made so much food on Monday and have been eating like 3 bites of it at a time because of my tiny meals mandate. I need to go through and figure out what is left and what needs to be frozen, etc.

Have a fantastic weekend!
