Mel that's awesome. Some people may not think 7lbs is a big deal, but I sure know it is. I'm so happy for you.

Good afternoon to all of you.
Not a lot happening today we had an appointment for the cars maintenance. That was long and frustrating...always is. But it's done for a good while. They even washed it for free so hey, it was worth it.
My Mayo Clinic plan is working. I've lost about 7 pounds already. I know some is water weight but I'm happy with it. I'm had the chance to get a fast food burger meal and diet pop and turned it down. I didn't even feel tempted. I haven't had pop in weeks. I don't miss it either.
QOTD: the diet plan has a tracker so right now I'm using that and measuring...everything.
B: light English muffin breakfast sandwich with ricotta, egg, sausage and 1 tbs of bruschetta
L: a burrito and an apple with 1tbs of crunchy PB
D: something with pork chops and veggies...prob carrots.
have a good afternoon y'all!

Good morning. I am going to try and post more often. My weight is up like 10 lbs since October. I know a lot of it is carb bloat and hormonal. I need to push the water and stick to protein and vegetables. I also need to quit eating so much cheese.
QOTD- I use my fitness pal. I need to be more careful with weighing and measuring and not eyeball it.
food plan for today-
scrambled eggs with taco meat
chicken sausage with cottage cheese
shrimp and cabbage stirfry
chomps and boiled eggs for snack
Have a great day!
Happy Hump Day Gang!! Thankfully the forecast for icy conditions did not happen this morning. Instead, it was warm enough to just have some rain. I did leave a bit earlier for work just in case. Not much going on today at work just finishing up my month/year end stuff.
When I got home Irvin had washed the kitchen and bathroom floors, swept the hallway and living room and cleaned up the attached garage. We had been throwing boxes and stuff in there. I think he said today he was going to sort through some more of his stuff in the basement and toss what he doesn't need or is just no good.
QOTD: I know I've asked this before, but what do you use to track food, cals, fats, carbs, etc.? I've used my Fitbit, Myfitnesspal, and handwritten things out, but for some reason I can't seem to stick to anything long term like I did when I was first out of surgery. I know there are days that I think I'm eating the right amount, but I don't think I am and I do think that is part of my problem with being stuck in the weight loss. If anyone has any other suggestions I'm all ears.
B: mushroom coffee made with premier protein
L: 2 slices deli ham and 2 slices of cheddar cheese on a spinach wrap
D: hoping to skip it again like I did last night
I'm calling the Y today to see who is available for personal trainers to get with to set a workout plan up.
Have a great day everyone!!

Good mornin Jennifer and all.
Not just a whole lot to do today. We need to go get dog food but that's the only thing we have to do.
The appointment went ok. I am going to switch providers. I may wait until after the next appointment. My case manager said a lot of people say the same things about the guy. Never listens, says the same **** over and over and doesn't read your chart. I am done. There is only one other provider I haven't done anything with yet. My provider also told me if I can't get in with her that they'll work with me to find a private practice provider. I am relieved, to say the least.
food ended up different yesterday. For lunch I had a fresh tamale (green cheese and chilies) with a bit of salsa. Also strawberries. I also ahead a sliver of supreme pizza...all tracked.
QOTD: I am working on stress eating the most. So far I'm doing better. It is my hardest thing. I gave in Saturday but I didn't go nuts. I stopped and didn't throw the entire day away,
B: eggs, Gorgonzola, and snack crackers...coffee
L: not 100% sure. Prob a salad with a chicken breast fillet. Maybe cheese on it and an apple with 1tbs PB
D: pork teriyaki stir fry.
S: veggies and the rest of strawberries with some whipped cream
have a good one y'all.
me in I believe 3rd or 4th grade.
Morning Gang. We have LOTO training going on which stands for lockout tagout due to the fact that at a few other facilities there have been injuries because of improperly locking out equipment. There will be another training like this on Thursday to get the rest of the employees who couldn't make it today.
I cleaned off my center island last night. It amazes me how much junk can accumulate on a flat surface. Irvin is looking to go back to work even though he's retired. He's just bored at home and wants to make extra money to buy land.
QOTD: What's a weight loss thing you're working on this year? I'm working on a more structured workout plan. Yea we've been going to the Y, but honestly, we've been doing a little of this and that and nothing really structured. I'm going to see about getting with one of the personal trainers to get on a schedule.
B: coffee and breakfast wrap with egg/bacon/cheese
L: leftover pot roast
D: skipping dinner working towards doing one meal a day
Irvin did a 4 day fast and got his blood sugar down to 95 and he's doing OMAD with it being a good high protein.
We will discuss tonight how we want to go forward with the workouts.
Have a great day everyone!!!

I did the subscription and use the app on my iPad and their website based tools too. It's not the cheapest. I paid 115 for a year. A lot for me. But when you add up Ww it's by far more expensive. It just seems to make sense to me for some reason.
they also have a book that's I've read before and multiple recipe books. It was a little tricky to find the link to their program at first. Almost like it's kind of hidden. They have tons of informative videos, articles and such. If you join they have a FB group that the clinic actually interacts with and answers questions. If you do join a year is the cheapest option by far. You get access to a lot of their ebooks included.
they suggest following their recipes for the first two weeks but I'm not really doing that. I am doing the tracking freestyle like and I chose the simple plan. They have a few different plans including diabetes, glp-1 friendly, Hewlett-Packard healthy and a couple more I believe,
Let me see if this link works.

I sure do agree!
thanks!
the appointment went ok, the connection gave out a few times but it was still good. My mom will likely be this way for the rest of her life. Since her stroke she is just a different person. Some of it is the same though as when I was growing up. She yells a lot and that stresses me out to no end and triggers a trauma response. I handle to usually better but it's been bad since November. I'm going to have to find a better way to deal with it.
