Hi All! Hope your Monday is going well. Didn't do well with my protein bar/sf hot cocoa plan last evening. Ended up cheating a Dixie cup of Corn Chex cereal dry and a sampler bag of Lesser Evil Popcorn which was definitely not worth the extra 7 grams of carbs. The Bupropion/Naltrexone definitely doesn't work at night anymore. Some people in the Contrave FB group say they completely cold-turkey for a few weeks then start the whole process over again to get over this. I know me, I could rack up a whole lotta pounds trying that.

My ulcer is back full time again, must call the dr for an appt. Various stomach problems run through my paternal family. A younger cousin died from a bleeding ulcer this April. However, I've been cheating with NSAIDs this whole year due to my bad knees. Time to cut that out and behave.

QOTD: The Jolly Molly. The ship's figurehead would be Jack the Pirate Cat and an old fashioned spy glass searching for kibble. Arrgg Matey!

B: nothing

L: an egg beaters/zucchini/red onion concoction and brown rice green tea.

Something is wrong with Nutritionix this morning, perhaps they are updating or having a server issue. Can't log my food yet.

Back to the sewing room to continue working to make it a functional sewing space again. Gray and dreary today which is perfect sewing weather!

That was my go-to meal after surgery when I was cleared to eat "normal" food again. I usually get the deli meat sliced thin either roast beef, ham, or turkey breast. I wrap the meat and cheese slices around a dill baby pickle and enjoy.

I'm finally feeling a bit better, no screaming and clutching my chest in pain.

My Mom got a quote from a guy to put up a handrail, but it was not what I had in mind. The one wall is a partial wall and he wanted to raise it 6" so there would only be about a 2" gap at the top, I said no, because even though I am not claustrophobic I feel like it would make me be.

QOTD- No pirate ship for me I get too seasick.

I've been losing weight without really trying, I just haven't had any appetite. Inching closer to my goal.

Have a great day everyone!

" Real" exercise ( for the first time in many months )

Got a three day pass to LA fitness ( will b sleeping in Long Island till I sign lease on apt ... so did upper body stretching/ machines - rowing machine - situps n sauna . Feels great 2 sweat th toxins out !

Busy day today mostly looking at and trying to rent apt.

Gotta inform Law Department and my own atty regarding irrepairable flood damage to hearing system and hwh.

Totally unnecessary to repeat extremely difficult and expensive werk!

b- coffee and tea lattes w ff milk bites of last nites dinner if I can find a microwave

snack- yogurt

l& d tbd but salad w ff dressing is definitely on the menu

so far - three shrimp from yesterdays Chinese

bought dinner - jerk chicken , collard greens w smoked turkey ( one of my favorite foods ) mashed potatoes regular n sweet, green beans w garlic , two big vegetable spring rolls. Usually just eat the ( cabbage ) contents w dipping sauce ( soy , hot chinese mustard, lots of duck sauce )

herbal tea latte ( ff sf ) or new kind of imported red wine spritzer - the Spanish old variety was good - I have something from Calabria I think ... again tasting an unusual old variety w soda water lol!

Straight wine goes right to my head post RNY.

Pirate ship name - would have to be a legendary seamonster's name like Kraken - the giant boat swallowing octopus ... giant squid? How about Moby Dick - the boat and peg- legged captain crushing mega whale ? Or some kind of famous harridan?

Mornin y'all.

Busy day ahead. Two appointments and we need to do a few other things. One is the pain clinic. Never thrilled about that one. They are dismissive to say the least.

I'm hoping to get a bracelet going faster today, well this afternoon to be exact. Not a hard one but tedious. It's my favorite weave so I'm not unhappy to do it.

QOTD: Sunny Doom. Partly due to my middle name and I like the word doom with it.

Food is unknown at best. I really need to get back at it harder.

A meme and a different bracelet I made for my boss.

Happy Monday Menuer's. I hope you all had a great weekend. I broke down more garden stuff and put up a new tarp over the rabbit coop. Sunday Irvin and I took a dump truck load of trash to the plant. One of the best perks of working at a waste to energy plant is being able to throw trash away for free. All the years Irvin did property preservation work and collected stuff from trash outs he's finally sorting through things and tossing anything that is junk.

Got back and went grocery shopping at Market Basket then came home and made another big pot of chili for the week and watched football. The Patriots did amazing. I don't want to get my hopes up, but if they keep playing the way they have been they might just make it to the playoffs.

QOTD: If you were the captain of a pirate ship what would you name it? The Red Queen and the carved figure on the bow would have bright red hair painted on it.

B: coffee and protein shake

L: roast beef, swiss cheese wrapped around two pickles

D: baked pork chops

Have a great day everyone!!!

Topic: RE: Its Relax-a-Cat Day Sunday!

Happy Sunday to you too! Hope your pruning is going well. I'm ignoring my garden chores this week to concentrate on getting the sewing room from Hoarder to Productive space.

QOTD: Kitchen is 'Early Grandma' and in my dreams the rest of the house would be Country Swedish. Those dreamy whites and light blues, yellows and punches of red. Alas, the budget has prevented most of that. We have no South-facing windows so my plants are all silk and dustable. I bet your plants are glorious. I need one of those garden signs that says 'The garden looked great last week, too bad you missed it' because it is too easy to ignore it while there are so many other interesting craft genres to do.

You do scrambled egg whites/egg beaters the way I do! When going out with gal pals for brunch I always bring some salsa with me. Have to say I do not have your strength to take the fat out of bacon. If I just have to eat it I'll only have half a full piece.

Since I'm currently on wl meds and know they don't work forever I'm trying my hardest to stick to the macro plan and the worse part is not getting to have all the carbs I ate without a complete care in the last few years. Haven't had any fresh fruit except a blatant, prolonged cheat during the Hermiston watermelon season.

Today? B & L: 1 coffee and a chocolate Premiere Protein rtu shake

D: Maybe a repeat of the so called soup from last night. Less liquid and turkey tonight, only have about 2 ounces left I think.

S: Going to see if the sf cocoa/dense protein bar works again tonight.

Still keeping fingers crossed on the apartment situation for you!

Topic: RE: Its Caturday !!!

Glad to hear you have potential places to view this weekend. AAA? IG Ellie says, "What the hell!!!" I swear they must get those batteries for about two bucks and make amazing mark-up on them. Happened to our family before too. Aren't Subaru's supposed to be like older Volvos in that they run and run until body parts start falling off.

You have a wonderful attitude toward your surgery, so many people grumble about theirs because it wasn't the magic solution they thought it would be. Killing yourself with your mouth...you said it so perfectly.

B: multiple coffees w/Torani (or DaVinci?) sf syrup and a total of 2 T ff half and half

L: 2 T almond/coconut Redi-Whip on a new recipe iteration of Protein Pumpkin Pie cups. The recipe needs tweaking on the amount and type of sweetener but the numbers on it were great.

D: Found a way to start using up that nasty NorCal Organic Pea Protein by using it in a single portion of soup. This one was 1 c home canned asparagus and the juice pureed, seasonings, 1 c chicken bone broth, 4 oz home canned turkey breast. And of course a big portion of the rest of the turkey went to my cat.

S: Might have found a way around the nightime snack monster by having a mug of sf cocoa and a Pure Protein bar. I can cut it into tiny cubes and make it last a long time.
