I havent had my surgery yet. But I have several (9 so far) tattoos. Most of mine are for my children and family. I think its a great idea to get a tattoo that has meaning. I am happily married but I wouldnt tattoo hubbys name on me. As far as my children... heck yea I already have their names tattooed on me lol. Good luck and congrats on the weight loss!

Topic: RE: Where should I put my tattoos
I have one on my left breast, one on my right shoulder and one on my lower back. My lower back tat is quite large but none of them hurt much. I believe the neck hurts really bad. My sis got one there and i watched...it was kinda creepy because you could see the mucles in her neck twitching (she is very skinny but it was a bit weird to watch). i am deciding on placement for my next one but will definitely wait until after surgery! christine

Too many variables ... I mean does the friend have any artistic talent at all? Does he know anything about tattooing? Has he apprenticed with anyone? Is he licensed? Does he understand the regulations about sanitary conditions? I mean obviously cleanliness matters and is a primary concern - but I also worry about the experience level and artistic ability of the artist. I hate the idea of being a guinea pig for a new tat artist and having their inability reflected on my body forever.

THis might be a little late, but i wouldnt get the tattoo yet if i were you. Your skins gonna sag, and make your tat look funky. I'd wait on it.
