Ok....  this is the first time I have been bummed since surgery. I am up and down & in and out of Onederland.  Of coarse in the mornings I am in One-derland and at night I am out of Onederland...

But tonight I was 203  and I feel like what the Effffff?  How did I get that high.  I am thinking my floor is lopsided or something.

So I am getting the scale crazies and my weight hasnt moved anywhere since the 9th.  I also am eating more, in fear that the honey moon is over.

I just dont understand why I can eat so much when others can barely get 2 oz in. :(((((
I try and stay at 4 oz a sitting.....  but know I can get in more because I have done it.  And then for dinner I barely got in 2 oz of chicken..  I was like so full.   What is happening and then i think how bad am I screwing up?   OK....  so.....  I have to apologize, normally I dont whine but I am in fear.

I have no clue, feel like the honeymoon is over, and realize  maybe I dont have the 2 oz discipline like others do. :(

Thanks for listening.....   I just need to get this off my chest.  I just realize I am human and these are my feelings....  sorry if this bothers anyone...  just in a little funk tonight.

Hi,

I have been sleeved for 2 1/2 years now.  We have times where we stall, and this is pretty normal.  I remember one time I went for 9 days and didn't lose a pounds.  So don't panic.  I also suggest that you write down everything you put in your mouth.  For me to lose I kept my calories at no more than 800 per day.  If you are not keeping track of what you are eating, it is sooooo easy to eat more than 800 calories.  I know it is a pain in the neck to do, but there are a lot of sites on the Internet that make it easier.

Hang in there, this is pretty normal, and things will start to get better.  We all have those times, sometimes you have to step up the exercise too.

I hope these helps knowing that other have some of these same problems.

Hugs,

Can I ask you how much at one time you are eating two years out?  Congratulations with your success.  I hope I get to do the same.  :)   thanks for your comment..

your honey moon stage is still going. I remember me being like you. I could not move the scale fast enough now i am trying to slow it down lol. My doctor said for me to eat ever 2 hours 6 times a day lol.

I am 9 months out and can only eat 3oz of meat and than nothing else which is a problem my doctor told me he wants me to eat more. But my stomach feels full so fast and than i do not get hungry anymore which is another problem. I guess we all have problems with the sleeve but I will take all my problems and do it all over again lo. i love my sleeve and you will get to goal. it takes time is all.

My surgeon gave me the tool. Now it is up to me to use it right.

I so needed to hear this.  thank you so much..   I will have to pay attention to what I am doing more and not eat the 4 oz even though I now know I can.  I can do 5 or 6  because I have done it with a 4 oz yogurt and  a banana.  thanks again

Don't be so hard on yourself,  this is a very emotional experience.   We all have good days and bad days,   I'm a little confused about why you would get on the scale at night?  i NEVER do that.  I think we will always weigh more in the evening after eating throughout the day.   Its a journey sweetie,  not a race.   The scales will F with your mind if you let them.   You are a work in progress and you will get there.   It does get harder for some of us  :o(  me being one of those --but it does work and we will get there.   I think you're doing great and sometimes our bodies just take a break to make sure all is well and then picks up again.   Stress is not good and doesn't help anything so try not to  ok?  Tomorrow is another day and the honeymoon is not over yet.   This is hard work,  but well worth it  :o) Jeani

eta:  Hello,  you've lost 60lbs sweetie,  amazing in such a short time   stop and smell the coffee.  Be proud of yourself,   I'm very proud of you  :o) Jeani

Stress causes the body to produce coritisol. Cortisol causes you to gain weight.  The more you stress, the tougher weightloss will be especially if you're stressing over your weightloss.

I track my weight daily, and after I started my new job back in March, my 30 day moving average daily weight loss (yeah, I know, it sounds insane) dropped 1/10 of a percent from .54 to .44 lbs/day.  It doesn't sound like a lot -- .7lbs a week, but that's almost 3lbs in a month. During the first 6 months honeymoon period, I can't afford to give up any weightloss.

I've settled into the job, but I also made a conscious decision  to a) sleep more, b) drink more, c)   push myself more while exercising, and d)  RELAX.  My weightloss has picked back up to where it was my first month out.

Everyone has excellent advivce. Do not let the scale be the determining factor of what you do with your body. Keep on plan and pretty soon 199.9 will be a distant memory, because the scale will keep moving down when to stick to plan. Our weight bounces around too much during the day to keep an accurate log. Pick one time a day to weigh yourself and go with that. I weigh every morning, but I only write my weight down in my journal on Fridays...so nothing really "counts" until each Fri. when I record my weight of the week.

I have already had a stall for 22 (very long) days, so I totally get the frustration. And I was freaking out too because everyone says take advantage of the "honeymoon" period...well for the month of Feb. (2011) thanks to that 22 day stall,  I lost exactly -2lbs for the WHOLE month. It was harsh. But since that stall broke I have gone on to lose -15lbs, so I guess it all just works itself out.

Hang in there and don't get down on yourself!!
-8lbs lost during the 6 month insurance hoop jumping,
the rest is since surgery.
