How can this be?! Jeans at 10 days out...

I'm 10 days post op and find that I cannot zip or button the jeans that I wore before surgery.  These are the same jeans I wore when I lost 14 pounds pre-op and I've lost another 10 since surgery, but now they're too SMALL.  It doesn't look like I'm swollen, but something is going on.  Did any of you experience this??

Yes - I was definitely still kind of bloated around day 10. I was sooo disappointed when I couldnt get my pants on, but now it's fine.


(but on another note, I have some clothes that I was squeezing into before surgery and had convinced myself they fit, when they didnt, and post-op I have less tolerance for tight clothes because of my probably-will-never-heal incisions.)

Just a guess here... gas?  I had the abdominal gas they pump in your for surgery for about the first week and then I've had intestinal gas ever since.  

Jeans haven't been real friendly to me mainly because I have incisions right on my waistline.  So I haven't tried mine on to see if this is true or not.

You are still swollen! I went through the same thing and I did not think I was swollen either! It will come off.

Me too.   between being swollen and gas.... argh the Gas.  grrrrr   

I don't think it's gas, but I could be wrong.  Make it go away!!!!!!!!!!

Don't worry!!  I was too sore and swollen from the surgery to wear jeans for almost 3 weeks.  Wear comfy pants and don't worry, those pants will be floating off in no time!
