11 weeks post op and hair falling out
Hey everyone,
As of last week, I started noticing hair all over my pillow, when shampooing my hands would be full of hair, etc. YIKES!! I knew it was gonna happen but hoped I'd be lucky--NOPE!! Fortunately I have pretty thick hair so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't go bald! Have been taking Biotin since surgery--it's done nothing. Oh well...the price of losing weight

I haven't had that bad of an experience but I did notice it thinning slightly about 1 1/2 months after surgery. The hair folicle definitely was weaker and hair came out easily. I started taking Biotin a few weeks ago and the hair folicle seems to be slightly stronger but, like you said, this is part of the price of losing weight. :o)
Praying it will soon get better!

I asked my nutritionist about biotin prior to surgery and she said it would do me no good at that point because it is not a nutritional reason for the hair loss. It's simply because of the trauma our bodies go through with the surgery. It will grow back and the probability of someone else knowing (unless you bring it to their attention) are slim to none. You probably already know that your hair will grow back. My nutritionist said that if hair loss happens at a year out, then it's nutrition. Have a blessed one!
I started losing my hair at 2.5 months out and am still losing, although slower than I did initially. No one notices but me. I can now see little new hairs coming in.
It'll be ok!

I haven't started losing mine yet ( 7 weeks out) but I have noticed a huge change in the texture to my hair. It was very fine before but now it is just heavy and gets greasy really easily. Keeping fingers crossed but I just know I will start losing it soon. Luckily my hair is short and layered so hopefully it won't be too noticeable.
Good luck!
Good luck!
I really noticed my hair starting to thin out at around 6 weeks... Luckily I have pretty thick hair, so I am hoping it will all work out...
I'm getting married in February and I need my hair haha!! No bride wants to be bald in her pictures :)
