how do you count???
I was wondering that also...I think Jimbo brought it up....
At what point do you stop counting months?
Do you say 28 months or 2 years and 4 months......

This reminded me how we count our baby's age. For some it's "my baby is 12 weeks old" and others it's "my baby is 3 months". It's weird because there is a difference in weeks to months. Some months have 5 weeks in them, others only have 4. Tatum was born on 30 October 2011, so technically she is 15 weeks, but when people ask I say "she's 3.5 months old". I count for surgery date purposes the date of the month. The 3rd of the month is the date I count, no weeks counted. And, at this point, I just say a little over 2.5 years post-op rather than 32 months post-op.

This is what it made me think of too! There are parents who keep counting months for a loooong time. "My son is 46 months old." I'd just say he's almost four. After the first year, I stopped using months to describe my kid's age. Now I say my daughter is just over 1 1/2 years old, son is 3 1/2. No one wants to do the math to convert their age to years, plus no one (other than me and my spouse) really care to know the *exact* age of our children.
Congrats on your little one!
The first year is just an amazing ride, isn't it?
Congrats on your little one!
