Amen brother! All we can do is work our plan and have faith!

As far as Katy Perry, I had a buttload of her stuff on my workout playlist. Those songs have all worked their way off that playlist by now, but when I hear one, I immediately think of pounding it out on the treadmill!

Let the Bodie**** the Floor does rawk!

I have a lot of Theory of a Deadman right now. Lowlife is my theme song, I've known a bunch of those guys over the years!

I would go to a gym that let you sing while you work out!

I'm not even an engineer, but I could have written this myself. I have tracked, weighed, measured, counted everything. I CANNOT control the scale damn it. It's totally unfair. I could do the math all day long, and I should be well beyond goal, but hey, you've just reminded me of the most important lesson.

Just keep following the damn plan. That's all :)

The only method guaranteed to lose weight is to fast. I fasted for 30 days once, in my early 20's. I lost 2 pounds per day every single day I did it. 30 days--60 pounds. Of course I could not lift my head up off the couch. Not recommended here of course, but just saying.......
PS--I kept all the weight off too for 20 years, until I got married and became a gourmet cook  ^_^

"So, Did I screw up by not playing Katy in the shower today?"

Only if you really, really, really believe in the efficacy of teen pop. Because while teen pop's effect on weight loss might be questionable, the placebo effect is very real.

Great post. I have noticed when folks stall this mythology comes into play. "I broke my stall upping my calories" "I broke my stall lowering my calories" "I broke my stall with exercise" "My vitamin pills were making me stall - when I stopped taking them it broke". Truth is, whatever change we happened to make right when the stall started to break gains mythical power to "break stalls".

But playing Katy in the shower can't hurt, right?

And that is how rain dances came to be.  The human brain wants to draw correllation everywhere.  I think it's what has allowed us to stick around this long.  I mean as far as animals go we aren't fast and we aren't that strong, what's left, a brain that figures out 2+2.  Unfortunately,  it tries to figure out 2+2 when there is no relationship at all.

I love Katy Perry, Gaga and Madonna but really for optimum weight loss I swear by Stevie Nicks especially when I listen to Edge of Seventeen or Stand Back (the live versions). Of course I am usually walking at a 4 mile an hour clip during this......lol LOVED this post!

Thanks for a good laugh.   So what would happen if you played Katy Perry while you were sleeping?
