I'm refusing to workout...humph!
Suck it up buttercup.
You are only a month out so listen to your body. But if you are having a pity party, do you really want to be the person who's back here in a year with a thread titled "I don't know why I didn't make it ot goal"?
Maybe a walk is what you need to figure out what is going on in your head.

OMGosh! You are SO right!! I definitely do NOT want to be that person - I am WAY more motivated and strict with myself then that. I just hate this beginning feeling where you don't like it right away!
I ended up going :) and I feel better about going, just not with my sniffles :) I just need to stay motivated! I keep justifying the fact that I work with kids all day and I work a long day that I am just tired! Ugh! I can do this right? I seriously need like a drill sergeant to yell at me every day til I get dressed and get out!! haha!
Thank you!!

I just totally kicked ass at the gym and am so proud of myself, even though my quads are screaming every time I sit down and I'm going to whimper through the day tomorrow.. I killed it today in the weight room and on the treadmill. I feel so good that I can't wait to do my weight routine again on Saturday after yoga. You should see the muscles in my arms and legs!
Have fun pouting.

Lol! This post seriously made me get over my own self today and DO a lil' something with my weights and mat! I was sitting here in the 84 degree house, reading the boards and staring at the lazy furballs around me (cats wilt in the heat yannow?) and read this, realized I too was making some silly excuses and got over myself! I hope you got out for a nice walk.. no need to go gang busters, but a little activity every day goes a long way.. and eventually it leads to more energy and better outlook, and more activity.. snowball effect in action.. just gotta get past the inertia and get rolling.

Thank you!! I am glad it helped you! I think that's the problem, I know it will take a while before it snowballs and that's why I don't start! Stupid huh?
Anyway, I did go for a couple laps, easy walking, about 40 minutes so I am happy about that. More of that and it will be longer and more vigorous soon!! (I hope :)
thanks again!

Thank you! I did! It's the start that's the hardest for me. I have been on walking binges a lot in my life and have always loved it - I just hate having to start without wanting to - lol!!
Hope you get out there too!!
Take care :)

Exercise and water have been my biggest issues... not that they are awful, but I know I could do better with both and both would help flush my body of toxins and create muscle that will burn more fat off of me. So many reasons to do it... so many excuses. I need to just do it and stop "thinking" about doing it. I am sitting on an exercise ball at work and that is definitely working out my core and my legs... but need to get the aerobic exercise in for heart health, not to mention stress relief and sweating allows our bodies to get rid of all the toxins we have put in over the years eating so junky. We can do it!

“Not many of us are living at our best. We linger in the lowlands because we are afraid to climb the mountains. The steepness and ruggedness dismay us, and so we stay in the misty valleys and do not learn the mystery of the hills. We do not know what we lose in our self indulgence. What glory awaits us if only we had the courage for the mountain climb. What blessing we should find if only we would move to the uplands of God.? JRM
