The Last 20lbs. Might be in the first 6 Months???

Many Vets get lots of PM's seeking personal attention at various stages.......

The most common one I get is "Help, I can't lose the last 10-20-30lbs."

And the most common comment I get back is...."I wi****ried harder the first 6 months and overall harder the first year, I feel like I wasted it."

They figure out how much they came up short.....than figure out how possible it was to get that in the first year and could be sitting at goal already.

You can still get there.... It's just harder....but very......doable...

Not telling anyone what to do.....more of a public service message....

I could not agree with u more! I have members of my family (more than one) that did well the first few months lost 50-60 lbs and started eating what they wanted and now one is 4 yrs out and the other 1 1/2 yr out and both are on slim for life to lose weight. I think if people continue to use the tool we are given for the first 6-12 months, they can get to their goal! It does get harder when u are only losing 3 lbs per month, but thats 3 lbs closer!!

That is one of the things I learned on OH pre op - use the gift of the new tool while it's still new.

Honestly, the first two months was a breeze because I couldn't eat anyway - well at least not much! It was during month three that my work actually started in earnest. I was on solids and my sleeve tolerated pretty much everything (except a lousy piece of sashimi).

Working at staying on plan, keeping my diet varied and intersting and tasty and learning to exercise have all really paid off. Don't get me wrong, it's still work everyday. There is a lot of thought that goes into my plan each and everyday.

But thanks to listening to the vets (you & Elina in particular) I'm sitting here with only 17 pounds left to lose to meet my personal goal.  I am 5 months out today!

You need to cut way back on your exercise and up your calories !!!!

and watch more Food Network......Paula Dean has new low line of recipes that starts out with one stick of butter instead of 2!!!!!

I'm trying out this new secret skin treatment that has a weight loss side effect.......rub peanut butter all over yourself...... and than have the neighbors Pit bull chase you !!!!
