Lost 27 pounds and wearing the same size?
I have two pair of khaki shorts from Lands End (or LL Bean?). Anyway, both from the same store. Both size 20. One fits, the other hasn't fit since the last time I weighed 200 pounds in 2006, I think. I tried them on last week and they were still too tight. I'll try them on again, but as I recall they were snug before.
Which is the last time I lost weight on my own.

Thank you! I'm not really impatient. My only concern was going to a party tomorrow night where I needed to look nice, and trying to find something that wasn't worn out or stretched out or too big. I really really do not want to buy something to wear once. And I probably should have hit the stores but my incisions developed a yeast infection (my bad, I took very long showers post-op) and don't dare try on clothes.

You are doing GREAT! You were sleeved a week after me and I've only lost 11 pounds since surgery. Been "stalled" since week 2 and even though I know this is a normal occurrence, I'm still getting discouraged after almost 2 weeks of hovering at the same weight. Doing my best with food, water, and walking and trying to keep the faith.
I'm another apple figure--round from the shoulders down and where legs join the body up. Upper arms are pudgy, legs are relatively thin. Pants that fit my middle are usually baggy on my legs.
Oh and I read in another thread something about clothing sizes and weight loss being odd. In the higher weights/higher sizes, it can take 30-40+ lbs before you change a clothing size. But in the lower weights/sizes, 10 lbs. really CAN be a whole clothing size. Interesting.

In the higher sizes they are probably made to stretch or tent. You know, stretch waists, and such. Or at least, a lot of the time they are.
Are you having trouble getting your protein and fluids? I've been very fortunate that this isn't a problem for me. I did sit at the same weight for a few days and then lose and now I'm at the same weight again. Traditionally I've always lost weight well at the beginning of a diet and then it slows, so this may have something to do with my body.

Body shape makes all the difference. I lost 23 pounds in my first month and went from a 2x to Xl. I went back to work after 3 weeks and people could see it in my upper body. I'm more bottom heavy though.

I'll be seeing people tomorrow night for the first time since I lost weight and they will all tell me how good I look and I'll smile and thank them because they're being nice. But I went to my hairdresser (who didn't know about the surgery) and she didn't comment at all. When I go back in June, I will be curious to see what she says.
In other words, I'm waiting for somebody who has seen me recently but doesn't know about the surgery to notice! Yes, you can tell in my face, and by the way clothes fit, but I really don't think it's enough to notice unless you're looking for it.
I'm not complaining, though. I can tell how much I've lost because these pants I'm wearing right now are not popping open when I sit down (or I'm not popping them open to be more comfortable). And they're loose in the thighs, too! The knit tank hangs loose instead of stretching. So yeah, the difference is there.
