The hardest part of when you have gas pain is to get up and walk.  It was the last thing I wanted to do but it helped so much.  I also used a heating pad on my back to help ease it a bit becasue I felt the pain in my left shoulder.

Walk, walk, walk. It's the best way to rid the gas from your system.

Remember the sleevers motto: sip, walk, rest, repeat!

I used Gas-x strips, they work great.

Ditto on the Gas-X strips. My gas was completely gone after about 4-5 days.

As the others said, walk walk and walk. For me it  took 2 days to get rid of it. (gross but.... The hospital gave me beef broth as my soup that day and it was too rich for my system. Ran to the restroom for a speedy #2 but the gas was all gone after that!) ask them for beef broth, may help! :)

You also might try a heating pad but make sure not to put it directly on your incisions or maybe put a towel over your skin then put the pad on that.
