Thanks. I started on the treadmill walking, then began to jog after about two week post op. I started off with 5 minutes of jogging on the treadmill and continued to build up time from that. It took me about a month to get up to running a full mile. About five months out, I was up to 4 miles 5 days a week. Now I usually run 6 miles 3 times a week and a 10-12 mile run on Saturday's.

Give it some time. Everyone needs to go at their OWN pace. You never know what you are capable of doing when the weight is long gone. I'm sure Sneakers would love to go on long walks just for now. She even needs to work up to the jogging stage. I tried taking my neighbors dog for a jog and I got less then a block when she wanted to sit down. She wanted nothing to do with jogging and she is a Lab.
