So, it's been 7 1/2 months since my surgery & my new lease on life has kept me off the computer = lol, that's a good thing, but I've failed to keep tabs on many of you in the WLS journey! I'm so grateful for this surgery & the health it has restored. I feel better than I have since my college days, I'm off all medications -only take my bariatric vitamin & fiber each day, I'm able to keep up with my young children (7-yr old twins & a 23-mo old) & the bedroom activity level is definately having added perks too (sorry if that's TMI!). Last week (just past 7-mo mark) I reached the 100#s lost mark which was very, very, very exciting!
The first set of photos below were the "before" photo & 3-mo post-op in the front view.
The second set of photos were the "before" photo -side view & the 6-mo post-op!
Amazing transformation in progress if I do say so myself & I still have a ways to go! Best wishes to all of you in your journey!

Thanks!! Yea, primary obstacle being my 15-mo old baby being hospitalized the night before my surgery for sleep apnea = not good! It was actually the urging of his pediatrician to keep my surgery as scheduled that tipped the scales for me decision-wise. I was debating it & feeling like a horrible mother for even considering leaving my baby in a hospital 3 hrs from where my surgery was taking place about 12 hrs later, but his pediatrician assured me that he would take great care of my angel & that grandma could comfort him in my absence! It was difficult getting poked & prodded & just not being able to hold him. It was a giant leap of faith for me to remember that God was with him, even when I wasn't able to be! God was with me too & he gave me swift healing & speedy travels to get back to my family!
