Today is my 4th Anniversary!

The first couple of years, I always remembered my surgery anniversary date.  This one, I only remembered because obesityhelp sent me an email to remind me.

I can't believe it's been FOUR years.

My life is so different now than before.  I AM SO DIFFERENT NOW.  Never in a million years would I ever had thought I could run a mile, but now I've done FIVE half marathons and one full marathon.

Life is wonderful and beautiful people.

Thanks for listening.

I actually only started running a year ago.  It took me awhile to really grasp that I could do things.  Things I never dreamed of before.  and don't get me wrong.  I'm slow.  But I keep going.  My goal and reward is to finish and remember how life used to be.  Good luck!

If you factor out running, how else is your life different, if you don't mind me asking.

Since my surgery, I've found the confidence to go to grad school, I have a different job, I'm very active-where before I was too exhausted to have any energy to do anything.
I'm still me, but with more confidence. And I'm so much happier. I don't think about my weight anymore. I don't stop before I walk into a room and have to screw up my courage to walk in the door.

I am still amazed by the things I can do, not just physically, but all things I was too scared to so before.
