Hi everyone,

I just have a quick question. im 3 months post op. my trainer wants to start working on my abdomen. he asked if i can start doing sit ups. when have you guys started working on your abs? i know were not supposed to the first couple months because of the surgery.

I was given full clearance for any exercise after 1 month if that helps.

Go for it.

And something I've learned since surgery and working out with my trainer is to be way more aware of my body and how it's feeling. The trainer checks in frequently, so I do too. I realize now just how unaware and out of touch with my body I was in the past. So try new things, just let them know if it hurts or is uncomfortable and they will modify the movement or switch to a completely different movement that accomplishes the same thing. A good trainer is awesome :)

It works if you work it; it sorta works if you sorta work it; and it doesn't work if you don't work it.

I was given clearance for that type of workout at 1 month also. You should be okay.
