Scary hospital visit

I am almost 5 months out and very happy with my weight loss but Omg! Last night was horrible! At about 9:30 I ate a no bake cookie (which I've had many times before) and then at about 10:30 I started having excruciating pain. Then for the next half hour it got much worst and made it so I couldn't breath. I was sweating n couldn't take a breath and I was literally thinking I was going to die. I was praying for the pain to stop it was like the my stomach had burst open and protruding out. I was thinking "this is what it will be like when I die" I told Shaun to call an ambulance. He was on the phone for 10 min then they were there 5 min after that. Every position I laid on the floor made it worst n then I laid on Shaun's leg on my right side and I started to feel a little better. When the ambulance got there it was so embarrassing it was like literally a switch was flipped and the pain almost completely went away. My blood pressure was 90/50 and I went to the hospital anyways. The pain by this point had completely disappeared. But you know hospitals I was there til 2:30 in the morning. I was so embarrassed because the pain was so horrible for probably a half hour to 45 min but then nearly completely gone. The part that scared me was I couldn't breath. It felt like I was drowning.

Anyone else ever have this happen please share. It was like the dumping which I've had but amplified times ten.

I have not experienced that and it sounds very scary.  Glad you are feeling better.  Stay away from those cookies devil

sounds like a possible gall bladder attack which I hear is common after rapid weight loss

This might sound funny but I get trapped gas pains that make me feel like I could die.....

I agree with previous poster, if you have your gall bladder, that's probably what it was.

Late-onset dumping.  I had it happen twice during the first year.  Never really sure what caused it, but you described it pretty accurately.  Horrible pain, sweats, shortness of breath - and then suddenly gone.

Do you still have your gall bladder? This sounds almost like a gall bladder attack. I had issues a few years ago, and the pain was enough to make me think I was dying. Had the gall bladder out.

I know it can very much be an issue after WLS, and a no bake cookie is a perfect trigger for it.

i would put money on it that it was NOT the cookie at all.
