2 year surgiversary..

On the 10th of this month will be my 2 year surgiversary.  I started at 267 lbs and now currently weigh 149.  I think this is my body's happy place - it isn't hard to maintain at this weight and I look and feel good.  :)  I went from a size 22W to a 6.  Had high blood pressure, high cholesterol and sleep apnea - all gone.  I try to get exercise at least 3 times per week, still attend support group, and still log everything into MFP.  I can comfortably stay around 1200-1300 calories per day, under 80(ish) carbs and around 80-100g protein per day.

For the newbies - my advice is to get everything out of the first 6 months - 1 year because that is when the bulk of the weight comes off.  I have maintained for about a year and think it would take quite a bit of effort to lose more at this stage.

Anyway, just wanted to share my stuff with you.  :)

So awesome! Congrats! Very inspirational for us newbies! I am 5 days post opt, and I also started at the same 267. I am really hoping to get to 170-175 as goal! Shoot under 200 would be awesome! Congrats again!

Wow. Congratulations on a job well done.  It is so good to hear of people reaching maintenance and then maintaining their loss.  Its inspiring.
