I know I shouldn't compare, but I am 2 months post-op and down 31lbs. I wanted to see if this is on track with others with simillar starting weights. Starting weight 216.5, current weight   185. I'm happy about that, but should it be more?

That sounds awesome to me!  I am around 220 lbs and have surgery scheduled in 12 days.  I'm hoping to lose around 100 pounds.  I don't know if 15 pounds a month is normal, but it sounds great to me right now.

That's an average of almost 4 pounds a week which is awesome!  I'm sure it's faster than some and slower than others. :)

I am 2 months out! You are doing awesome! 31lbs is awesome!! Everyone loses differently. I started out a lot heavier than you and as of today I am down 58lbs(12lbs during pre op diet). But for your starting weight 31lbs is great!

Look at it as a percentage. You have lost 31of the 81.5 you want to lose or 38% of your excess weight. That is fabulous.
