A 'Noticeable' Difference 8 days post op
I was getting ready for my one-week post op appointment this morning when my boyfriend said he could tell a noticeable difference in me since the surgery. "Really?" I said. "Yes, you're noticeably crankier." "Seriously though, there is a noticeable difference." he continued.
My Dr.'s visit confirmed it - down 18 pounds since May 9, and 15 down since surgery. Feeling great.
Haha, your boyfriend is awesome :D

I know we're all different, and have different health histories. My surgeon told me I was very lucky, that overall, my 'innards' were very healthy, the surgery went textbook, and she wasn't surprised I was recovering quickly. I've been able to keep down liquids from the beginning, and switched to full liquids at day three. I'm meeting my surgeon's goals of 64 ounces of liquid and working my way up to my protein goal of 60-80 ounces a day (only met that twice). I did see a noticeable difference in what I was able to consume around day 5. Hang in there, we're all different and I am sure you'll do just fine (said the girl with 8 days experience at this). So thankful for this board - if nothing else, it's shown me there's almost no 'normal' to epxect :-) Best of luck!!
