Whatcha eating today VSGers...Saturday!!!
It's another glorious Saturday here in southern Maryland! I went to the farmers market and got lots of green things - asparagus (probably the last for the year), green onions, cucumber, zucchini, radishes, parsley, and small tomatoes. I love market season although I'm really having to be wiser in my choices now that I'm sleeved! I don't have that much room for veggies and I can't just eat veggie leftovers for breakfast and lunch anymore as I've done in the past. Sad times!
I'm having issues with my stomach recently and I'm 99% sure it's due to low stomach acid. Aside from my leftover sushi for first meal, I'm going to stick to shakes today since food has not been a rewarding experience. I'm hoping that a few days of detox from my PPI will do the trick to fix things, otherwise I've got some Betaine HCl which is supposed to help.
1: leftover sushi
2: frankenshake + 1T miralax
3: protein shake (I'll be making dijon roasted rack of lamb w/ penne with roasted asparagus and balsamic butter for the guys.)
4: protein shake
water and vites: on track
exercise: rest day

I love that you had so much salmon today. A few years ago I went to Norway for two weeks and made it my mission to eat salmon every single day. I succeeded. :D I get to go back for a wedding next year and can't wait to eat ALL THE SALMON.

How lucky for me that Whole Foods offers really yummy, fresh, beautiful salmon sashimi in WLS-sized packaging? Talk about the perfect meal!
I adore cooked salmon, too, just about any way you can make it, but especially grilled.
I hope you'll remember me when you're in Norway and thinking about people to bring gifts to when you get home ;)
