Gonna miss guzzling water,!

So I really really love ice cold water and I'm always thirsty.  I love the feeling of guzzling down a 16 oz bottle of cold water in like 10 seconds.  Plus I am scared about hot days and doing things outside and sweating my butt off.  I'm afraid I won't be able to drink water fast enough.  Can anyone relate to this?  It may seem small but it's one of my greatest concerns after surgery.

I can drin**** cold water pretty rapidly now and I'm 4.5 months out.  So it might not be something that you have to give up forever.  :)

Yeah - I can guzzle without much problem.  The first month or so it is harder, but when your stomach is healed and empty fluids go through quickly.

Glad to hear the guzzling comes back --- I was sorta worried about it because I chug water now but have slowly been transitioning to being an all day sipper during my preop diet.

This is actually my biggest fear, too. I am the same way. I love water and I love to guzzle and chug the whole bottle..I am really glad to hear it may not be a forever sentence of sipping. I live in AZ, so I can totally relate to needing to stay hydrated. It's like 115 today!

I was super worried about the need to stop guzzling Diet Coke.  I was a major addict.  Honestly, I do not miss it much at all.

When I leave the house for work now I'm carrying 60oz+ of liquid (20 oz protein shake, 20 oz water w/ crystal light, 20 oz water w/ BCAA).  It's all gone by 9am.

WOW I had this same thought this week. I am preop, working on my doc appts.  I thought the same thing... when I got out and sweat then really feel satisfied from drinking fast. So from what some people said, this gets better.  :)

OMG.. that too is my biggest fear!!! I drink water like it's going out of style!! I can't get enough.. I always have a water bottle in hand. I too am worried about post op. The dietitian said to start practicing now, nothing to drink 30 mins before meals and wait 30 mins after. YIKES!!

Good Luck!
