Good Tears.
I went to the fair a couple of nights ago. It was the first time in 6 years. I walked around the whole fair several times. I didnt use a wheel chair or my rollator (walker with seat). I used my own two feet and the only time I sat down was to watch a circus act. I'm only a 4 pounds away from being lowest weight than I have been since my oldest son was born. That is 23 years. When I think where I was just 5 months ago to now it makes me teary. Happy tears that I have done this for myself and my family. I have gotten my life back. I was being held prisoner by my own body. I still have a way to go but the difference in every part of me is already so impactful that I cant even imagine how much better it is going to get. I needed to share all this with my OH family. You all have been such a huge part. Thank you.
I'm so happy for you. I can so relate to the image of being a prisoner in my own body. Before surgery, I was in a downward spiral of less mobility, and more isolation. I am so happy to have my energy and health. You are doing great, and I am so pleased for you. And the best is yet to come. Wait until you are shopping in regular sized dress shops!
Last week someone said to me, "Looking at you, its hard to believe you were ever over-weight!" What a trip!
best wishes,
Carol
