Progress pics/update and a question

Hi all! Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I hope everyone is doing well! Just wanted to share some progress pics! I feel amazing and I'm so full of confidence now! The one thing I'm a little bummed about, are my arms. They're still huge and saggy, but I work them out as much as I can. :)

My question (I CANNOT ask my surgeon, as I've missed many of my follow ups due to losing insurance right after surgery. :( They will want me to come in) How many ounces can you eat at a time? I try to eat slowly and eat until I'm full. I feel like I can eat about 4 or 5 oz by this point (surgery was 9 months ago). Does this seem acceptable for this amount of time? Thanks so much!

Looking fab!

How much you can eat depends on WHAT you eat. If I were to have a bowl of pasta (which is No Bueno post-op), I could easily eat 8 oz. Dense protein like steak or chicken, I can eat about 3oz in a sitting if I want to leave room for a few bites of veggies.

I can comfortably eat 2-4 ounces of meat (depending on the type) and a little salad or veggie on the side. I can cram more in, but only if I really over do it and risk getting sick. You are looking fantastic! Try to save pennies to get your labs drawn at about a year- don't want to risk being really low in anything and not know.

Thanks so much! In Arizona, we have a lab called theranos, and you can get your labs drawn without a dr's prescription and all tests are under ten dollars! It's amazing, so I'll definitely go get them checked. My energy level is pretty low, but I think that's kind of normal for me, sadly. lol

AS others have indicated, how much depends heavily on what - I can have a lot of salad as that is fairly sliderish to me, but 3-4 oz of meat depending upon the type and a couple ounces of veg with it, usually.

As to your surgeon, ask whether or not the follow up visits are included in the surgical fee (they typically are for a certain period of time - with my doc it's 18 months) so they may have already been paid for.

Thanks so much! Only the first two follow ups were included. :(

Hi, Ellie - you look GREAT! I love the sexy dress and shoes

At 9 months post-op I could eat about 3 oz. of dense protein and a few bites of veggies. Of course if I tried eating carbs I could get a lot more in. Stick with the dense protein and healthy veggies but continue to measure and weigh.

And remember this: Just because you CAN eat more, doesn't mean you SHOULD eat more
