Well, I have been on a supervised diet for the last 4 months as required by Medicare.

High protein, low carb and fat. I have lost over 30 pounds on it.

I am scheduled for my preop appointment on 10/4 and VSG surgery on 10/11/17.

Basically I have about 4 pounds to play with and cannot lose any more weight before my surgery.

I plan to keep the carbs down but increase the fats for a few days.

Wish me luck.

If OP feels he needs surgery at 203, that is his decision. Your opinion doesn't matter.

OP, what are your calories at? If you're doing low carb but moderate calorie, you may have luck dropping your calories even further for a few days.

EDIT: Sorry to mis-gender you! I also mis-read and thought you needed to LOSE 4 more, sorry about that!

You must be a miserable somebody. Always trolling on everyone's post. Typically we post because we are open to others opinions. I wish there was a middle finger emoji somewhere on here.

Sorry to hear you feel that way.

Many of us struggled with the decision to have surgery. We wondered if it would be the best decision, and many of us faced negative pressure from others (friends, family, etc.) to "do it the right way" and lose weight without surgery.

I don't believe random strangers should try to talk people out of WLS. "My body, my decision" is a good mantra to have.

If that merits a middle finger, then so be it. :)

I know as someone who started with a BMI of over 50, it's hard to relate to lightweights. I've learned it better to simply pass by their posts, as I'll likely think the same way.

Weight loss is for total health- not just the vanity of 'super model' status. Keep that in mind- even a lightweight can have obesity related health complications.

Very true, we also don't know how much this person is struggling right now with their diet. I'm sure most of us have had periods in our lives where we fought tooth and nail to lose weight and had some success ... only to finally cave and gain it all back.

If you fall down you just have to get back up.

Considering that I don't see this person's post ... its someone that has a problem with manners ... take my advice and block them.
