The March for Our Lives in DC yesterday was amazing. Those kids blow me away. They've got so much composure and conviction. I'll pay for it today - I didn't even think about sunscreen so have a lovely sunburn on the right side of my face and neck. And my left foot is in agony. But it was worth it. :)

Today I've got some school to finish up, Tomb Raider and Pacific Rim 2, and some general household stuff. It'll be a good day!

QOTD: If you could convince everyone in the world to do one thing at one point in time, what would that thing be? (I'll answer in a comment.)

1: protein shake
2: cheese, maybe some popcorn
3: sous vide chicken thigh, roast cauliflower

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: PT for feet and shoulder

How about you? What's going on in your world today?

Feel better, amazing cause! I tell my kids all the time "the most important thing in the world is to do somebody else a favor". A quote from a Rabbi who helped all people, of all religions & races, in all situations, all the time. So, that's what I'd try to convince the world to do.

QOTD: On the one hand, if I'm thinking about everyone doing the same thing at the same time, I'd love to have everyone jump at exactly the same time to see if that's measurable. Or to have everyone scream as loud as they can at the exact same time. For science. :)

But if I'm thinking more along the lines of "something I wish everyone would do just once in their life," I'd like people to read the Bible in its entirety. I think that many people who claim to follow the Bible have never actually read it completely, and I also think that it would benefit those who don't follow it to understand what it contains in order to understand where those who follow it are coming from.

I was sad I didn't make it to the March, Gwen!

We had a huge March in Memphis, but we had already planned my mother's birthday party a couple of weeks ago for the same time. Many of my friends were there and the videos that I got to watch of our youth and the older generation coming together brought tears to my eyes. I did get to attend the women's March in Memphis last year, however, and it was an empowering experience. We also had a smaller March in Oxford Mississippi, near the Ole Miss campus, and over 350 people showed up! That's a lot for a college town in MS with a lot of conservatives.

QOTD: I would love it if everyone could just be kind to one another. There are many social and legislative problems that I would love to fix, but I believe if everyone truly tried to be kind to other human beings then none of them would be a problem, anyway.

M1: premier protein and coffee

M2: reduced sugar apple oatmeal

How cool Gwen! I've been watching some of the videos from DC with tears in my eyes. These kids are incredible.

QOTD: I would say everyone would have to spend a day at a refugee camp. Many people are fearful of refugees despite the fact that they are among the most vulnerable people in the world and people refuse to help them. By spending time with them and seeing that they are real men, women, and children with the same worries and hopes as the rest of us, it would change everything.

B - Coffee & Protein

l - last of the leftover chicken and peppers

d - turkey tortellini soup

e - yoga :)

Today we're going out for breakfast, then the dog and I head home from my dad's, and so have a hike with a friend this afternoon.

The QOTD is a hard one! My silly answer would be something like doing the wave all the way around the globe. Serious answer would be something like be civil and respectful to one another. I think we could fix s lot in this world if we could do that.

B - ?? Bacon will be consumed

L - real good pizza

D - fish and broccoli

When I looked in the mirror this morning, my post-WLS hair regrowth was standing up proudly, so I took a picture. To those losing theirs, it does come back, it just may be a pain in the rear for a looong time!
