Question about Bariatric Fusion vitamins
I doubt you can get by with one type of pill to meet all your needs. My surgeon tries that too and it fails miserably. Cheryl mentioned one thing, the B-12 needs intrinsic factor for absorption, and iron needs to be taken away from all other vits except C & copper or it won't get absorbed worth a darn. These companies will cell our surgeons and NUTs anything because they know they don't know about over-the-counter vitamins and minerals.

I've been taking Bariatric Fusion for the last 5 months.
They do have B12...140mcg
Calcium..300mg
Iron... 7.5mg
Biotin.. 150mcg
So far I feel great... but need to have bloodwork done in am for it to be ready in time for my doctor visit next week. that will tell the story as to how I'm doing on them.
My only concern at this point was not being aware early out that we can't absorb more than 500mg of calcium at a time. I didn't know that and was taking my 4 vitamins.... 2 in the am- 2 at bedtime.
Now I take them before bfast, before lunch, before dinner, at bedtime.
Just hoping for a good report next week.

Definitely look at the B-12 and iron & ferritin when you get your copy of your labs.

I will definitely do that. My doctor appointment is tomorrow afternoon so I'll find out how things are going with my vitamins.
The one thing that concerns me about the Bariatric Fusion is the CALCIUM. This is what the labels reads:
D-Calcium Pantothenate,
Calcium Carbonate, (which I understand we don't absorb well)
Calcium Citrate..... which we do absorb... but it is last place which means it is the lowest amount of the 3 Calciums in the tablet.
So... who knows how much Calcium Citrate is actually in each tab.
My lab work will tell the story tomorrow.
As I said... I feel great but that doesn't tell the long term prognosis for being healthy or developing a vitamin deficiency. It will be good to find out NOW if I have to make changes with my vitamins.
