I think you are doing fine.....I'm probably in the minority with my thinking but I still believe a CALORIE is a CALORIE whether it's a protein, carb, or fat.  So really, when you think about it, you probably CAN'T be eating enough to be "gaining".

January has been a slow month for me too!  I definitely have been eating MORE but not enough to "not lose".....I'm just slowing down, at this point in our journey we just don't have as much to lose!   I do know that because of the weather I've been less active and stayed inside more....can't wait to get to spring and summer and work in the yard, swim, camp, etc.!

Hang in there....be patient and stay on course!  We're gonna make it!

I encourage you to really up the protein. I get about 125 grams a day. I keep my carbs under 50 and my fat around 30. I get about 1000 calories a day. I don't eat fruit. Just haven't wanted any. I usually eat a salad every day because I need more fiber. I have been happy with my weight loss for the most part. The most I have stalled is about 2 weeks, which I hate but that is life sometimes. I wish I could lose weight every time I step on the scale.
I told you before that in my 5th month I only lost about 4 or 5 lbs but the next month I lost about 9 lbs. I really thought my lose was going to slow down and I would have to fight to get off the rest of my weight. Now I am less then 5 lbs and it seems to be taking forever. Like my life is going to change dramatically if I lose 3 lbs.

Walmart - Body Fortress Flavored Protein Powder 26g per scoop + 8 oz milk @ 8g = 34g

Costco - Muscle Milk Flavored Protein Powder 26g per scoop, same as above

Nectar Fruit Flavored Protein Powder to mix w/water 23g per scoop @ mybariatricpantry.com  and they sell a sample pack of 10 flavors (chosen based on availability, there's more than 10 flavors)  The Nectar is a great way to get in your water and protein at the same time.  Lucycat adds Crystal Light for added flavor.  Dairy is the suggested snack when using this instead of powders w/milk.

I'm sure there's more sources and choices but this is what I've settled on to get me started.  We'll see if I tolerate them after surgery.  rofl!

Good luck!

Thank you everyone, I am taking everyones advice. I was able to "create" a protein coffee this morning and I am tolerating it just fine. I think my stomach just does not agree with cold drinks yet, although I am finally tolerating water now.
If I have to drink coffee all darned day long I am going to get this protein in, I am that frustrated and determined.

@ Peyton, You are so right! I have been in alot, it has been so darned cold, I have been staying in the house and not getting in my excercise that I should be getting. I cant wait to open the pool, mow the yard, pick up sticks and plant my veggie garden. I am such an outside person.
I think I am going to find a local support group to attend so I can get some new friends closer to me.
