Hello,

I had my VSG about 4 mos ago and have lost 30.5 lbs.
I'm a lightweight so I only had about 55 lbs to lose total.

I'm down to my last 20 or so lbs and need ideas on how to get it off.
I'm doing 20 mins of cardio 3-5 x per week and adhering to 60-70 g of protein daily.

What worked for you?

I'm in my last 20 lbs and I haven't done anything different.  I have stayed on program with food, protein, exercise, fluid and have lost steadily the whole time.  Sure, there have been times I ate more than I needed to or didn't exercise for a few days, but by in large, I have just kept on keeping on.  I eat 4-5 meals a day, 2 protein drinks at least, over 100g of protein, usually less than 30-40g of carbs, at least 64 oz of fluid.  Fluid intake has been up since the hot weather.

I think your protein sounds low.  Seems like the folks here who have had good success have limited carbs, upped protein and journaled their food intake.  Those would me my suggestions.

Im not trying to get down to your goal weight but I also haven't done anything different for my last 20...I agree with Pryce that your protein sounds a bit low, I would bump that up with a protein shake..also how are your calories, are you sure you are eating enough calories with doing cardio??

I'm averaging 1000-1200 cals per day but I really  need to watch the carbs.
I need to bring food with me instead of having a weak moment while I'm out and about ;)
Also I've dowloaded the calorie tracker app on my phone so I can track calories and make sure I can get that protein in while lowering carbs.

in a stall before I have decreased my calories for a week or two and then bump them back up and that has worked for me before..also bumping up and down my carbs helps although I really try to get less than 65 a day and am usually closer to the 50 mark...

Like the others, I didnt change a thing.   I kept my protein at 80 - 125 g per day.   Exercised regularly.   Kept my fluid intake up.   The weight loss slowed down towards the end, but it came off.  You CAN do this!!!  Good luck,    Cindy

We all stall at about four or five months...the stalls can last awhile...just do what you are doing...and wait it out...your body needs to adjust to the loss and then you'll start losing again...once your BMI is normal except about a pound a week or  so....so it slows down but right now you are probably in that expected stall....great job..SEAVIEW

Keeping my daily carbohydrate count under 40 did the trick for me more than once.  I have learned to LOVE fruit and sometimes eat way toooo much.  Cutting back to one or two servings of fruit helped (fruit does have carbs).  I have also read others posts here on the board that they kept their carbs under 40 and it allowed them to continue to lose.
