I am 1.80 pounds from my initial goal. Should I lower my goal since I am only 16 weeks post op? I am thinking about changing my goal to 190 pounds.

wow! Congrats on hitting your goal so fast, that is really incredible..Only you know your body, but I have changed my goal weight a couple of times because I keep loosing and I figure I might as well let my body figure out where it wants to be..give room for a little bounce back too..

WHY is it guys have such an easy time???

Congrats on getting so close to your goal.

I do know when dh set his first goal it was 175 which still had him in the overweight catagory, so as he got closer, he lowered it to 165 which puts him inside the Under 25% BMI. However he is now aiming for 160 to account for bouce back weight that can happen.

Only you know what is best for you.

Awesome!!!!!  I would definitely change my goal!!   Go as low as your body will let you!  My 2nd biggest reget (1st was waitng until I was in my 50's) was thinking I was getting to thin and choosing to increase my calories.   Bounce back is normal after the honeymoon period and you start to absorb more of your calories so you want that to be added on to your low weight not your "I think I'm to thin" weight.

Wow, congratulations to getting to your first goal so quickly.  I used my surgeon's goal for my first goal and then changed my goal to a normal BMI.
I agree with everyone that suggested you go as low as you can while you are dropping weight.

Congrats!!  It does sound like you'll keep losing - it's easier to lose that bounce back weight now rather than later!
