Good Morning. Full signals from a protein shake?

I have noticed the hiccups too and have taken a few more bites, which is always a bad idea.

I've been dumping quite a few times in the last few weeks on things I didn't before.....I break out in the cold clammy sweats with hot flashes!!  Last weekend we had a date night at the movies....My husband asked if I was trying to be sexy or something because I was sitting in the seat holding my hair up off my neck and crossing and uncrossing my legs. I told him NO! I'm just trying to keep from barfing on you!!  Glad we are married...he thought it was funny. Guess that bites of his buttered popcorn were too much :o(

In the early days, I hiccuped.  After that it went to sneezes for around 8 months.  Sometimes now I'll still sneeze but it's very random.  I serve my food and don't go back for more, but restaurants are tougher.

I generally don't get that full feeling unless I've just eaten a hunk of steak or pork chop.  I don't get it with fish very often, but then again, I weigh the food and put it on my plate so I know what I'm getting.

Protein shakes don't keep me full at all.  I can drink 145 calories/30 grams of protein and be ready to eat a meal a few minutes later.  Maybe that's why I don't drink them very often.

I have just about always felt full after a protein drink.  Sometimes I get a runny nose but most of the time I just know I have had enough.  I have never gotten sick from eating too much, mainly because I still measure out my food at home or have something portion controlled.  I can only remember one time where I felt overly full.  I think it's because I am so paranoid about stretching out my pouch that I don't pu****  I look for a satisfied feeling, not a stuffed feeling.
On the other side of not getting full I also don't get too hungry so it's a trade off I guess.

I get a running noise when I get full.  I have had the hiccups also.

Some mornings I have a hard time with the protein coffee and I feel so full and other mornings I don't have a problem.  I wonder if it has anything to do with what we ate the day before?  Maybe a snack later than usual?

We are pretty far inland so we will probably only get the feeder bands - some wind and rain.  Of course i***** one of the bands sat on top of us and we got 24 inches in 24 hours and it flooded here and around 8 people were killed - so you never know what is in store.
Take care everyone.

I never got full signals (wish I did) but there are definitely days when the drinks or food just don't feel as good as others.  On the days when even the protein coffee is uncomfortable I try to switch to decaf.  It might just be in my head, but I figure it can't hurt.

Even people without WLS have sick days when they feel crummy--maybe it isn't related and you are just not feelng well today.

Either way, hope you feel better soon.

Sometimes it seems like I can eat a lot., other times I get full on very little.   I've noticed; however that when we go out to eat, it seems that I eat less before I am full--maybe I'm drinking a lot more right before I eat while I wait on my food.  Really unsure as to why but it's ok with me.

Hi Gina

I don't get the full feeling (runny nose) from the protein drinks or really food anymore, but I get it almost every day when I take my vitamins... go figure!

I never know how much I can eat from meal to meal. My tummy seems to change size constantly. I have to space my bites out because one extra bite and I feel miserable for an hour. I fill up a 1/2 cup ramekin most of the time and just go from there. This just applies to dense foods....I can eat a cup of salad, soup, etc...

I am like Maria though...during PMS, I can eat much more and it's the only time I really feel hungry. It's scary for me because I wonder if I will continue to feel like that forever! Thank goodness, after 5 days or so the cravings end and I go back to no hunger.

My protein coffee usually fills me up or at least keeps me satisfied for 3 hours. My protein in the morning is what keeps me on track for the entire day...gotta have it!! :)
