Menus and Miles Thurs. Sept. 15th
Your bread story made me smile. Even when I was writing about my little grandson I was thinking he doesn't need it either. My DSIL didn't even like sweets until they moved in with us now he is hooked.
Bread is one carb that I can't remove from my house. Our local Giant Eagle sells Tuscany bread that is half baked and I buy 7 frozen loaves a week for my DH. When you thaw and bake it the house smells so good and it tastes just like fresh homemade bread. I have slipped a few times and had a slice so I try to bake it right before dinner and then the majority of it is gone and I've had my dinner so I'm not as tempted.

Mari --- I was in the Pittsford, NY area for work a couple weeks ago and ate at Next Door (a Wegman's restaurant)... very cool! You walk in the door and entry way has wooden shelving from floor to ceiling with a rows and rows of green apples. Everything was fabulous -- glad I didn't make it over to the bakery! Too tempting...

Cool cloudy day here but I was in doing paperwork so oh well. It would have been a great day to drive. Put a blanket on little chili since he is clipped and it is getting cold tonight and windy.
