Menus and Miles Tues Oct. 4th

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER!!
I talked to the NUT at my Surgeons office yesterday. I've never met her, she must be new. The only thing she really had an opinion on was why I was drinking so many Protein drinks and she told me not to use them for meals. I told her I do use one for breakfast and I feel better when I drink them. She wanted to know how many calories they were each and she said that 90 calories, no carbs, or sugars sounded pretty good (Syntrax). I had to ask her several times what she thought about calories, carbs and fats. She finally asked me how many calories I was usually getting in and when I told her I was getting in between 1200-1300 calories she said that was good. She said fats should be about 30% and carbs should be limited to fruit and vegetables. So basically (on a good day) I guess I'm perfect....

Typical NUT but she sounds teachable, Roz. I'm seeing mine today too. Were going to go over my labs and see what we should do about my vitamin K2 and potassium. I'll also see what she says about my vitamin A getting too high.

Mine was high because I do supplement since I was low pre-op. She cut me back to 3 times a week. I had already cut back to 5 times a week so it may be accumulating. She's having me recheck in 3 months. Vitalady doesn't have to take any extra vitamin A either and hers stay near top of the range, I believe she said.

Hi Roz! I'm with you on the morning protein drink. I hv a Syntrax Nectar every morning within an hour of waking up. I hv only missed my mark one day and felt like crap! Never again. My new can is fuzzy naval and a small Jay Robb chocolate to mix w s/f hot cocoa. Cannot wait to try them. I always sprinkle some walmart powdered stick mix on my twisted cherry -- usually lemonade -- what would you put on fuzzy naval????

Awesome day!!!! Work was fabulous and there were no sweets there to tempt me!!!!! But yesterday there were bad thing and I was weak...so I am fighting the desire for CARBS....and there are cheez-its in the house....this is a minute by minute struggle and the talapia is not keeping me full....so I may add some yogurt and berries or double my protein coco tonight.

L: 1/2 chocolate protein shake with 4 oz of milk --- would have had a whole but I am running low...order should be in tomorow..may have to resort to drinking husband's
S: 4 slices of genoa salami, 1 baby bel, 3 olives. 1/2 cup of cucumbers, 7 ****tail tomatoes
S: 8 almons and 1/2 oz of 85% coco choclate
D: 1 oz roast chicken, 4 oz talapia, a couple of spears of steamed aparagus
S: 1/2 protein hot coco
Water: 60 0z and still thirsty
