I love them but they kind of sit in my pouch like a lead weight which is weird because I can eat raw carrots, steak, celery..you name it but for some reason I can't do well cooked sprouts to well.

I do ok with cooked brussel sprouts but they have to be cooked really well. Steamed broccoli florets and I do not get along at all.

Not sure if I've tried broccoli yet.  Not a big fan of it, but I like it's little sister broccolini a lot.

What I've found I like more and more is baby asparagus sliced on the diagonal and sauteed with garlic.

Brussel Sprouts/broccoli are in the same family...gas producing veggies unlike carrots or celery.

With that said, I roast mine in some olive oil and spices. I also roast my asaragus, califlower...whatever I can roast.

Oh Liz, I cook my brussel sprouts the same...roast in the oven with EVOO but add minced garlic and cook till crunchy.  Oh how I miss them.  :(

The first time I tried the sprouts after WLS it was roasted and while I wasn't in any pain, they just weren't sitting right at all.  Thought boiling them would make it better but not by much.  I can eat a couple, but then I'm done.

A couple is probably 1/4c and that was about as much of any veggie I could eat, other than salad or greens, in the beginning.

Other than brocalli soup in the early days, I haven't had a problem with anything from that family.  I eat it all.  Yummmmm
