My high weight was 300, surgery weight was 217, and my lowest weight was 142. I then got pregnant and went up to 185. Had 2 kids and I'm sitting at 172. (Was 175 last week)

How do you know whats fat, and whats skin? and where your body is comfortable?

I guess you kind of have to go by a BMI chart. After 2 kids you metabolism may be in a tailspin and you might have to double kick it with exercise to get it to start working for you again. Low carb, high protein (shakes if you can do them), plenty of liquids and vitamins, plus exercise.

Where were you comfortable between 142 and your current 172?  Did you stay at 142 easily until you got pregnant?  I agree with Gina, look at the BMI charts.  I don't put lots of store in them but I stopped and have stayed right where they said was my ideal weight.  There are ways to get a % of fat reading and that may help you too.  I think Drs have something that can do that.

I know because the losing stopped and the bounce back started.

My body may think it's finished losing, but I disagree. We argue about it daily. :-)

I'm having the same argument....although I have been doing some emotional eating the last few days/weeks.  So I know it is my fault.

Are you happy at 172 or were you happier at 142?  Is 172 in the normal range for you?  Do you follow the rules suggested for your type of surgery?

Only you can decide if you are at the weight that you feel comfortable at.

Good Luck and Keep us Updated!

I do strength training with my Wii at LEAST every other day and I have just recently started with the "Walk off the Pounds" videos because it's easy and I can play the DVDs and do it in my kitchen while I watch the kids play in the family room. I "walked" 4 miles yesterday.

TMI but I've always suffered with constipation and I hadn't went in a week even taking 3 ducolax DAILY. I finally the day before yesterday took 4 squares of store brand Ex Lax. I feel SO much better but haven't really lost anything since then. This is also comming from a scale ADDICT. I weigh every day expecting to see a change. Right after surgery I was weighing every day and literally loosing .5 to a lb DAILY. Tomorrow is Wednesday, and my weekly "weigh in."

Last week I went from 175 to 173 from Wednesday to Wednesday, and then Thursday I weighed again and was 172. SO... I guess I lost 3 pounds last week. I really shouldn't be complaining but I have to have something to stress out about and obsess over or I'm just not happy.

Also recently have gotten off of Lyrica and I've started eating better (more protein less carbs) and also working out like I did right after surgery.

It's hard with small children.....
