I got my approval today!
I was supposed to hear something on Friday after my surgeon had a Peer to Peer with the insurance company but they said they'd let us know something on Monday. The waiting was terribly hard since I am not a patient person AT ALL.
I'm still in disbelief, as everything has hinged on my getting the approval. I have to talk to my manager tomorrow at work and hope that that goes well, as I haven't said anything to her and didn't want to until I was sure it was going to happen. Fortunately, I had previously asked off for vacation time at the end of July even before I was thinking about this surgery and it just so happens to be the week after my surgery. This is good because they'll only need to take me off 4 shifts, if all goes according to plan and I only am out for two weeks.
I have to order my vitamins, start really thinking about what I need to get in the house prior to surgery, etc. I've been reading the forums every day but just haven't posted as I felt like I was in such a state of limbo.
I'm happy, I'm scared, I'm all over the place with my emotions.
My surgery is scheduled for July 19 at 7:30am. I did my pre-op stuff today and will meet with my surgeon next Monday. This is really going to happen!
