1 - 20 oz shaker cup with wire ball
4 to 6 oz of 1/2 & 1/2, water, or milk
1 to 1 1/2 scoops of Syntrax Nectar vanilla wth a dash of cinnamon)
{shake} until blended
Pour into large mug
Add 9 to 10 oz of hot brewed coffee (decaf or reduced caffeine)
{stir}
Add hot liquid to cold liquid to avoid lumps. Keep the protein slurry below 160 degrees.

I do mine a little different.
I use about 1/2c warm water and mix with a spoon 1.5scoops of protein. I like mint cookie, chocolate, chocolate carmel, vanilla. Sometimes I add a hint of SF syurp too, like cinnamon vanilla with the vanilla. Then I use that as creamer for 2 large (20oz) cups of decaf. It would probably, actually is better with milk instead of water but I like it fine with water so why add the carbs and calories.

Here is how I make mine.
I brew my decaf coffee in my Keurig coffee maker and while that is brew I mix up about 1/4 - 1/2 cup of Hood Calorie Countdown Milk with 1 scoop of protein powder - I use Syntrax Nectar Cappuccino or Syntrax Nectar Chocolate truffle - mix this really good so there are no lumps.
Pour the protein drink mixture into the coffee and stir good. Sometimes I top this with Fat Free Whip cream.

We drink them as anyone would a regular cuppa joe..... Once recovered from your surgery, it is easy to drink in a natural way... I mix my protein coffee (Usually vanilla protein to hot coffee) similarly to everyone else. Meaning the hot coffee gets added to the protein slurry...
I do this usually right before I go to work. I carry a big travel mug, and it takes me a good hour to drink it, just like before my surgery... AND it keeps me from being hungry too, so no picking at things to eat.

I used to drink my hot coffee every day, but have now opted for a "blended frapp" instead! Perfect for summer. I have one every morning and haven't tired of it yet--going on 5 months now!
1 to 1 1/2 scoop of About Time Birthday Cake protein powder (my new favorite!)
1 T instant coffee
1 cup skim milk
DaVinci SF French Vanilla or Chocolate syrup to taste
Blend it all with ice and I have a great drink to sip on at work. It usually takes me about an hour to drink it all...but fills me up and keeps me away from the munchies. :o)
