OT: Hospital Update

Yay!  I should be able to go home today.  I walked around the whole floor yesterday without a walker.  I even stood at the sink and brushed my teeth and had a "bird bath".  Unfortunately, I cannot pee without using a catheter.  They still don't know what's wrong with me.  I think the working diagnosis is Probable Multiple Sclerosis.  I have one lesion on my brain scan.  You need at least 2.  They did a lumbar puncture to look for ilogoclonal bands but it will take a few days to get that back.  If I have that it may be enough to cement a diagnosis.  Anyway, I am feeling better.  Your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated.

This past weekend DH and I decided to work things out and renew our vows.  Our last wedding was a very informal affair that involved our minister and us.  We are moving up to a semi formal affair in Vegas this time.  Lol, I wore shorts and a tank top last time, I am wearing a dress this time.  I guess we just aren't fancy people.  I do get a new Mac Daddy ring though.  So I will spend my rehabilitation time taking care of wedding details.  That is FUN!

Thanks again for the thoughts, prayers and swinging of creatures great and small.  We should have lightweight conference somewhere just to meet in person.

Tonya,

Congrats on reconciling with your DH and deciding to renew your vows in Vegas.  As you said, the planning should keep you busy!

MS is what they are thinking, huh?  Sorry to hear that, though a definitive diagnosis does make everything a little easier to deal with, at least in my experience with my kids, that has been the case. You can deal with anything if you know what it is you are working with!

I'm glad to hear you are doing better, and I hope they confirm something for you quickly!  Best wishes to you!

I'm glad you are feeling a little better.  I understand from  watching my DH that not knowing what's wrong can be very stressful and make things even worse.

You seem happy about working things out with DH....I'm excited for you!  DD's ex was a cheater but has completely turned his life around so I know it's possible. I just wish he had done it when they were married.  It's hard on their DD's. I bet you will be a Beautiful Bride...can't wait for pictures!
