Looking for a warm protein drink
Can anyone please suggest a warm protein drink? I am not partial right now to anything sweet. I love coffee/tea and I am already in love with the Unjury Chicken Soup mix. Are there others out there?
Still Pre-op...but I have already accepted the life...
I love my protein coffee.
I use Syntrax Nectar's Cappuccino. I brew my cup of coffee. In a separate mixing cup I mix my Hood Calorie Countdown Milk with 1 scoop of the protein powder until it is dissolved. Pour the milk/protein mixture into the coffee and stir.
Don't put the protein directly into the hot coffee or it will clump and be really nasty!! You have to mix it with something first. If you don't use milk, you could mix it with some water(not hot).
If you like hot chocolate, you can use chocolate protein powder and add it to your hot chocolate. Same way as above mixing it with something room temp first.
You can order samples of protein powder from Vitalady.com to try variety before you buy the large tubs.
Linda
Oh thank you Linda...I would love to have protein coffee...not to big on Chocolate...but maybe I will get the sample and have a taste...if I don't care for it, I am sure my 16 year old son would fini**** for me.
I do protein coffee too but use brewed decaf, put some cinnamon in it when you brew it. Then I do my slurry with vanilla protein. Yummm.
I also put vanilla in Chia tea. Chocolate in SF 25cal hot choco mix.
I like to add veggies to my chicken soup. Brocalli or any greens are good. Left over chicken. You can do a lot with it. Baritric Choice has lots of different soups but I haven't tried any. I just make the Unjury into different stuff.

You want to make a cool slurry of protein powder and a little milk. Then fill the mug the rest of the way up with hot coffee or chai tea. The trick is keeping the protein below 130-160 degrees at all times. I add hot liquids on top of cool liquids to keep the temps under control.

I use water for everything instead of milk but I would certainly dissolve it first in warm whatever.
