Don't blame you...I like lower better too (not much lower tho).

Thank goodness that we don't eat like this every week.

A 1lb gain for a carb pig out doesn't sound too bad - it was Thanksgiving after all!! ;-)

157.5 last week

154 this week - 3.5 lost yippee!!! kiss

I was starting to think my DS was broken and that I'd finished losing (that happened with my sleeve and I keep waiting for the same to happen with the DS).  I'm so grateful to you and the other vets that get the word about the DS out there.  At least I had somewhere to go after my sleeve failure even though 2 step DSs are supposed to work!! ;-)

Being less than 11 stone would be nice though (14 * 11lb = 154lb).  I'm hoping I'll get there very soon!!

You are doing great...and yes, a two stepper does lose slower but all of us tend to get where we need to be.

Yeah, 1 lb considering on T'giving day I had a regular size slice of pecan pie (VERY RICH). I never cared for pumpkin pie...dh and daughter did tho so I use to make them while she was still at home. But I prefer pecan and given a slew of options at the assisted living facility where my daddy is...I opted for it. kiss

I got my surgery to be normal...not to be on a forever diet.

I don't mind being a slower loser - I was just scared of not losing at all.

I have to stick reasonably closely to Aktins stuff coz it causes me too problems if I don't.  Maybe when I'm further out I'll get away with more but I was on this track anyway due to my IBS (I did get away with some flour though and chocolate was not a problem).  I can't complain if this how I end up long term though - I just have to have very small amounts of dark chocolate instead of pigging out on it, etc.  I've decided to keep some dark chocolate in the house so I can have a piece or 2 every now and don't end up binging as that gave me diarrhea. :-(

I am aware of the carbs I eat...but I don't wring my hands over it either...I just treat myself as if I were STILL insulin dependent diabetic. I've been watching carb intake for over a decade...I don't consider that dieting.

I can understand the fear of not losing...we all have it to some degree...after all, every other way we tried to lose weight has failed us.

Past two weeks 130
Today 131 +

I think the scale was even being kind this morning. This has been a hard week. Lots of old emotions have surfaced that have a lot to do with why my eating got me here in the first place. One lesson learned - just because you always had it in the past during the holidays doesn't mean you still have to. Just don't bring it home! If someone else wants it let them go to the store!
