Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period!!!!!

It's Friday!!!!  It's also DGD #4  2nd Birthday.  Her party is this evening. She is such a shy and super quiet little thing and  I'm anxious to see how she reacts to all of the attention.  I have 7 grandchildren but this little one just won't let us get close.

Happy Birthday to the Little Birthday Girl!  My daughter had been very shy and quiet when she was that little.  She has long since outgrown the quiet stage... with her dad's help.  She's become very vocal and sometimes outspoken.  There are days that I wish she was still a bit more reserved... LOL!

I can't tell if it's just hay fever kicking my butt today or if I've got a head cold.  My sinuses have been killing me for about 3 days now - even with using my Neti pot and taking the allergy meds.  I woke up to sneezing and pressure around and behind my eyes.  No body aches or fever, but I don't feel like my "take on the world" self today.  I've only got today and the weekend to get this gone because I start my new job Monday morning!

So here's my plan of action for the day:

  • Protein: Isopure Cookies and Cream Protein Shake mixed with Vanilla Soy Milk - 59g
  • Snack: Udi's Gluten-free Cinnamon Raisin bread
  • Lunch: ???
  • Protein: Isopure Cookies and Cream Protein Shake mixed with Vanilla Soy Milk - 59g
  • Snack: Grapes & Sunflower Kernels
  • Dinner: Boneless Turkey Roast (in the slow cooker now) & Steamed Green Beans (maybe a little garlic mashed potatoes, but not sure just yet)
  • Protein/Snack: Sargento Reduced Fat Colby Jack cheese stick & Isopure Plus - 15g (this is a maybe since I'm not sure how full I'll be after dinner and soon after that I call it a night... not feeling to good)

Water: Working on first 24oz container now w/ probably 1/2 gone.

Exercise: May try for a walk after getting my daughter from school this PM.

Thank You for the BD wishes.  I hope she comes out of her shell.  I'm going to try and use my Grandma charm to win her over.  The older ones always seem to want my attention and this little one gets pushed aside.

Sorry about your cold/sinuses.  I had sinus pain about 2 weeks ago and my head just throbbed.

Menus sounds good!

Roz, I tired of cooking and doing dishes, too! Especially since I'm just four weeks post-op and can't eat most of what I cook for my family. I can't complain much, though, because my husband is really supportive and is willing to get in there with me to cook and clean up.

Today I am walking a 20 minute mile on the treadmill and doing upper-body weight training. I am eating:

  1. Syntrax Nectar Fuzzy Navel (24 g)
  2. Green Veg Soup with Unjury Chicken Broth (21 g)
  3. V8 and cheese (5 g)
  4. Tilapia (w/ Broccoli, if I have space!; 23 g)
  5. Hot Cocoa (Skim milk, Unjury Choc. Splendor, Vanilla; 23 g)

My goal is to drink at least 30 oz. water, two 12 oz mugs of green tea, and 20 oz. Powerade Zero (I swear the electrolytes help me to feel more energetic).

I'm just whining today...LOL DH doesn't help like he used to.  I don't have that many dishes with just the 2 of us so I could probably leave them go for a day but I love getting up in the morning and have a clean kitchen.

I've go to order some of that Unjury Chicken Broth.  I keep saying I'm going to do it but never do.

Good Menu!

Yes, give DGD time and hopefully she'll grow out of it.  I hope you have a great time catching up with everyone.
