Hello LW Friends....
I am two years post op and dealing with the dreaded issues of Bounce-Back weight lately!! I am still learning how to adjust being in maintenance mode but I got to tell you it is quite a challenge!! In the last week, I have managed to add 3 lbs to my weight and its scaring the @#$% out of me!!!! I know I need to keep up charting my carbs on a regular basis!! How I miss those first months in the "Honeymoon" phase. I could drop a few pounds overnight or by having a bm!! Not happening now!!
So to all you newbies do your best to take advantage of the "Honeymoon" phase and get down as low as you can so this Bounce-Back weight isnt so tramatic!! Anyone else experiencing this or have noticed this along their weight loss journey...I could so use some advice!! Have a wonderful day Everyone!!!!
Good morning, S.S.
Yeap, bounce back is a *****! I miss those early days too when the weight just FELL off!
It's why we say to go as low as your body will go...don't try and stop it unless you get right on the "underweight" line of the BMI chart. It usually will stop itself.

Liz, Thanks for reply My S.S. I love your analogy weight just Fell Off...so true!! Im sure glad I am taking the "bull by the horns" and getting those 3 lbs and maybe more off right away!! Its a struggle this maintenance thing but I would rather keep on top of the few pounds then the 115 lbs excess weight I used to weigh!!!!! Don't want to ever go there again!!
You are right. Bounce Back Weight is a reality!!!!!!!!! It takes a while to learn how to do maintenance. I found I had let too many
carbs creep back into my meal plan. The bounce back is coming off slowWWWWWWWWWWly, but it is coming off.
When I'm in my 80s I have no doubt I'll still be planning, tracking and adjusting my carbs.
I warn posters every day on M&M not to let the carbs back into their menus during the honeymoon phase because it leads to bad habits and when the honeymoon phase is over the pounds will start creeping back on. It seems like one day you are in the honeymoon phase and then you wake up to Maintenance.
Maintenance = Protein and Low Carb if you want to be successful.
