WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period!!!!
Happy Saturday! Everything's icy here this morning. DH looked at the porch and went back to bed...LOL Today is our grandson's 1st birthday party so I'm going to have to fight the carb monster again. Fortunately it is at my DD's so there won't be any leftovers that I have to deal with and since all of the in-laws are going to be there I will have a lot of visiting to do which keep me out of the kitchen. I love my son-in-laws family!

Hi Roz! I'm the same way with my son-in-law's family - they just are so nice and welcoming.
I'm heading to mid-Illinois today for a friends' retirement party. Leaving about one and be back tomorrow sometime. It's a 5 1/2 hour drive each way. I need to get moving here... motivation is low today - lol. I got an email from my project manager at work wanting me to "test some software" this weekend - LOL.. NOT going to happen...
I've got some leftovers that I'll eat before I leave, but will be eating out (and some drinks) when I'm there.
B - coffee, but think I may make me some eggs/ham/cheese
L - leftover chicken/cheese/spinach casserole
D - no idea... but I'll try and make good choices
Vits: will do it!

It would be so great to just be able to pick and go sometimes. DH hates to travel and he would never let me go on my own.
Be Safe and Do the Best you can!

Roz, we have a lot in common today :) We are celebrating part two of my son's 8th birthday today at my house. My parents had the flu two weeks ago when we had the big shebang, so this will be a little dinner party with Wii games to follow. My son's favorite meal is spaghetti with meat sauce and he has requested snickerdoodle cookies for dessert. I'll be eating the sauce over spaghetti squash and making myself those protein cookies that I saw in a thread recently. And, my son-in-law's family is awesome, too. Makes all of those holidays so much nicer!
MILES
- Weight Training (3 sets each of lat pull downs, incline bench, military press, biceps curls)
- Gentle Cardio: 30 minute treadmill walk @ 3.0
MENU
- Unjury Chocolate Splendor w. Skim Milk and Raspberries
- Green Soup w. Unjury Chicken Broth
- Ground Turkey Marinara over Spaghetti Squash
- Protein Cookies & Syntrax Vanilla Bean Milk
It seems like all we do is have parties. It's so much better when the in-laws are nice. I try so hard to be the nice in-law and with this family it's a breeze the other 2 are work.
Let us know how the cookies turn out and if they are any good let us know which recipe it was.
Sounds Good!

Spring starts in March (on the 20th apparently).
Yes I made the PB cookies - see below for details.
two large eggs
a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda (baking soda in the US)
two and a bit tablespoons of almond meal/flour
3-4 tablespoons of Splenda
1 cup peanut butter
Cook on a medium heat for 10 minutes.

Mine are OK, but I've overdone them a bit. I thought I'd be back on them as it had been a couple of months, but I've just had them too much - I hope I don't get that way with pancakes - at least I'm varying what I have with them! ;-)
