It is very confusing. Everyone believes something different. You are over a year out and on the second half of the honeymoon period so your body has probably started to absorb more. Looking at your chart you aren't at goal yet and that's why I suggested the extra Protein.

I believe in Whey Protein drinks and I've been at goal for over 8 years. I am addicted to food!!!! If I increase my food even with Proteins then I eat more and the scales go up.

I will try to remember not to push the Protein drinks again....

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.

I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

Thought I got plenty of protein today but looks like I need to add more. The coffee at work is awful or so they tell me. I have a cup before I go to work and sometimes add protein but most of the time I just add SF creamer. Today, I took a cup of coffee to make protein iced coffee. The turkey and beans have protein but I don't know how much.

Ideal PB shake (12 g)

Bariatric Banana Bread w/a smear of peanut butter (I'll post that recipe)

Low carb wrap; deli turkey; cheese; carrots & cauliflower

Beans & low carb cornbread

I'm so confused anymore. Other posters tell me to get my protein from dense protein sources not shakes. And that if I'm at 80 grams then I'm good.

If I use protein drinks the calories creep up and I've been told I'm typically eating too many. Most days between 900 - 1000. This doesn't seem unreasonable to me but other posters say I should be between 800 and 850.

I just don't know who to listen to or what advice to follow.

Over 100 lbs lost! and 13 lbs below goal weight!

Post Op 11+ months

Hello LWs. Well my menu is a little better today I do believe!! Busy day at work this morning; I'm hosting a Risk Management seminar for about 35 staff members. After I will hit the arena for my run. This one will be tough. Week 4 day 1....5 min warm up, 3 min jog, 90 sec walk, 5 min jog, 2.5 min walk, 3 min jog, 90 sec walk, 5 min jog, and then a 5 minute cool down. Have I mentioned I hate running? UGH, it will take all I got to run for a straight 5 mins not only once, but twice..... The things we do .

The eats to support this day:

B - Turkey Sausage (170 gr)

S - greek yogurt and 3 oz of fresh strawberries

L - taco salad (4.5 oz taco beef on lettuce and cukes, 28 grams cheese, 2tbsp calorie wise catalina (for going the sour cream to save on calories )

S - 4 slices deli turkey with mustard

D - 5 oz chicken breast with a tbsp. of salsa

Totals Cal 861, carbs 39, Protein 111

Have a terrific Tuesday!

I was so hungry for salmon so I ordered patties at our local Kings restaurant. I could have gagged!!! The were wet and gooey inside. Sent them back to cook some more but they weren't any different the second time. I finally told them I couldn't eat them like that....!
