My days off work are what are hardest on me as well. Too much time on my hands leads to grazing and poor food choices! I'm working on trying to be sure to stay as busy as possible on my days off. But with winter here/coming getting out will be harder for me! I don't like to go out on bad weather roads when it is not necessary. I'll be spending MUCH more time on this site posting.
Hello all. I had my VSG on Monday as planned. Everything has gone well so far. I haven't gotten all of my liquids in but that will change today as I am able to consume more than the last couple of days. I achieved a 15 minutes walk this morning, albeit was only one block.
I plan to return to work on Monday so it is important that I continue to improve daily. I plan another walk this afternoon. Also, tomorrow I move from clear liquids to full liquids and I am excited about that.
I am so glad to have found this site as I know i am going to have lots of questions.
I was medically cleared last Thursday. Paperwork sent in and now the wait (weight??) begins. A small pun. :)
i have two more pre-op blood tests and visit for instructions next week. Praying I can have my surgery before the end of this year.

Good morning everyone! I saw 190 today, so we'll see if I can hang on to that number, or go lower, before I have to record my weight again on Monday.
Yesterday turned out to be a good day! I got the results of my Job Evaluation at work! I'm taking on the Insurance/Risk Management portfolio for the municipality. Comes with a pretty significant raise which is retro to August 9th. A nice little surprise right before Christmas!
Today is going to be an up in the air day. Going to try and make it not hurt so much by my choices but here's the "plan".
B - premier protein shake
S - hard boiled egg
L - turkey dinner (sponsored by my boss, catered by the local caterer). I will stick to turkey maybe a bite of stuffing. Bring my apple crisp home for my Trucker....it comes with veg (carrots and corn), potatoes, rolls, all the good things not on my plan
D - I made a zucchini lasagna last night, unfortunately my Trucker was dumping things into the sauce before I could measure/weigh....couldn't log the recipe....found a similar one on MFP but will take todays totals with a grain of salt .....
Totals none posted now, will know the damage in the morning and adjust tomorrow's menu accordingly
Have a great day everyone!
