Good morning everyone. Still not feeling the best, so tired but here I am. Went to bed at 9 last night so maybe I had a little more sleep than I've been getting lately. Scale down to 173.8 this morning, the lowest yet. Doesn't make sense to me because I didn't really stick to plan yesterday - had some added calories and not necessarily "good" ones. Aw well might just be a blip or maybe my body needed extra fuel to help fight this cold.
Did 40 minutes of cardio at the gym this morning and will head out for lunch for a 5 km walk. Its pretty humid here so will have to take my water along.
I haven't decided yet if I want to move to a maintenance diet or not. Been playing with the stats to see what works. Could probably lose a few more lbs to cushion for regain but we'll see.
B - 2 HB eggs
S - meatloaf
L - chicken with sautéed peppers/onions, sour cream
S - 2 chicken strips
D - pot roast, (a cob of corn if the roadside stand has any, they were sold out yesterday)
Totals (sans corn) Cal 978, carbs 39, protein 100
Stay cool friends.
Hi Roz!
Does make a huge difference when I journal and keep track of my totals. 7 years post op and my tool still works, when I work my tool! Able to get rid of 11 pounds of regain and hope to get rid of 12 more! What a difference when I can stay away from those evil refined carbs!
B Protein coffee 27g
2nd breakfast 2 scrambled eggs with salt and pepper 12g
L chicken salad on romaine leaves 28g ( if i can finish four ounces of chicken)
S cheese stick and a slice of ham 12g
D ?? not a clue yet, maybe burgers or hot dogs on the grill, something quick and easy
vites on track
water 32 oz so far
miles, just cleaning and hopefully get a walk in

Thanks for the info!!! I won't give up my Protein drinks...way to easy to get in every day but I would like to have other ways to add more "good" protein into my daily routine. I love peanut butter so I'm going to have to check it out.
I need to find a cheaper protein powder for this though. Mine is over $50.00 a container now. When you divide it up it's only around 25.00 a month and it's worth it for my drinks but I think I could get away with another brand for added Protein.

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Morning LW's!!! It's so nice to see a few more posters!! This site was Booming during my first few years of posting....it was wonderful! I truly believe posting on the Lightweight board has helped with my success!! I need to be accountable every single day!!
My Menu is the exact same as yesterday until I got to dinner. No ballgame tonight so there's stuffed pork chops in the crock pot. DH cuts them himself so he always puts a small pocket in mine so I'm not tempted to over due the stuffing.

That does sound good! No matter what I put it yogurt I just can't cover up the bitter taste but I really like Ricotta Cheese. I'll have to give it a try.
A rash....that's terrible. Even a small amount of Milk keeps me cramping all day long. I can't remember my reaction to soy products but I remember I shouldn't buy it. I Haven't tried Almond milk. My Syntrax mixes really well in water.
I count on several shakes as day. For the first 3/4 years I had 4 a day. That got my allotment of Protein in so I didn't have to keep track of my totals. I swore I was not going to tally things up like the old WW days and it worked for me.

Bacon wrapped shrimp sounds sooooo good!! I'm going to have to try that! Do you buy it out or make it? Is it grilled, fried or baked?
Sounds Great!

Unjury.com has some great recipes. I printed a bunch today. I get tired of shakes every day and these recipes use protein powder in other ways. I've made their Peanut Butter Cups and liked them.
I've used Unjury protein and it is very good. Right now I have a good supply of Quest protein powder and will use that in place of Unjury.
If you want some tasty new dishes, check these out.

Good evening ladies. Before WLS I ate Ricotta cheese with walnuts, Stevia and vanilla, but haven't had it in a long time. I had some this morning and it was so good.
I love cinnamon too. My allergies are soy protein and milk although I don't know what part of milk. Both cause a rash along my jawline and my neckline. I don't think it's lactade. I think that only affects your stomach. I'm using almond milk for shakes and I have some protein powder that is good in water.
Click shake (16 g)
Ricotta cheese
Tamali Pie; Greek yogurt (15)
Kashi bar (3)
Pork loin; chopped salad
Still low on protein. I need to add a shake in the afternoon or the evening.
