Move day for DH. I've been awake since 4, reading since 5 and it is now almost 6:30 so it is now light enough to take Justice out. I need to get DH showered at 7, then last minute items can be packed to be ready to go get the cargo van at 8:15.

It will be a busy day, but hopefully that means I will sleep tonight... It will be truly weird waking up tomorrow but not having to come down and deal with DH (who btw was already up at 6 so I put him back to bed).

Have a moving Monday!

Liz, please feel all of our love and support today. You are ABSOLUTELY doing the best thing for Paul and your family, with grace, compassion and love !! Feel us thinking about you and having your back. Paula, it was great to hear from you yesterday. Yes, the cooler weather at night sure does make soups, stews and pot pies sound good ! Such excellent cooks in this group !

Our Martial Arts center calls it Tai Ji, not Tai Chi (semantics and some form differences). Just like Reiki, there are multiple unique derivations. Both DH and I loved the introduction, and signed up for the full introductory offer. We'll be going Mondays and Thursdays during the day, so we won't encounter the hoards of white tigers (age 5 and under) we did on Saturday. So much like herding cats, although once they bow and enter the classroom, they assume the role of grounded student very well. I am after physical stability, balance, flexibility and core strength. I know the slow, focused movement will enable me to emotionally ground and meditate. I am not making a big deal of that aspect with DH. His PTSD is accompanied by some ADHD in the form of hyper vigilance and laser focus on random things. I want him to discover the emotional/mental benefits as he experiences them. Relaxation and meditation are fluff stuff to him. I'll look for opportunities to reinforce and expand upon positives HE identifies.

DW and I were doing Tia Chi before WLS. We could both tell it helped with balance and strength. DW was talking yesterday about starting it back up.

I think there's just enough martial art element to tai chi and discipline to take the fluff out of it :)

Also, loved the mental image of hordes of white tigers.

Well, I was listening to an audiobook, got sucked in and overcooked the soup. And now my house stinks like InstantPotted onion. Oh well. Normally I'm a great cook, but that's two not-very-good meals in a week. I'm off my game!

On a whim I started C25K (couch to 5k) on the treadmill yesterday. First day was easy, but I think that?s how they lure you in.

I am so excited that The Durrells in Corfu and Poldark started up on PBS again last night. Two of my favorite shows!

A month from today I leave for New Zealand. My how time flies!

Hope everyone has a good day, and especially that it's not too hard a day for Liz.

Happy travels to New Zealand. It is beautiful in the pictures that I have seen.

The instant pot is so quick. I have burned a meal or two. Made bunches of mushy steel cut oats until I got the recipe down.

Participating today in the land of the living - absence due to a bit of psychic break (I believe the medical term for it is headuptheass) following and exacerbated by a spell of whipplewoopass. It's all good- I've done periodic depression before and so, strangely am celebrating the relatively short turn around time with this one.

Just barely skimming this last batch of posts---Holy Crapinolla, folks! The sightseeing adventures...Shirl, well planned and executed American West beautifully experienced. AND the RING!!! Congratulations, Diane, smiles and wishing you all your heart's desires. May love reign and grow hereonin. So much of good, get Sleeping Bear Dunes (been there- done that- a delightful Autumn adventure) sand in your eyes experiences in one way and another for all. Carry on. Devon, I am hoping for a positive puppy report.

Liz, I'll be thinking of you today- especially for a smooth and positive transition. To everything there is a season- a day to pass through. You will do well; just in the doing of it
