I just spent the day with Suzy. She's doing great! No complications. Of course, she feels like a Mac truck hit her, but her vitals are good, the surgery went well, she even got up after a few hours and sat in a chair for a while. She has been able to hold every bit of ice she has cared to have. Her doctor said he put in EIGHT rows of staples!! He said that is way more than most surgeries, but he just wanted to make sure it was stapled well. Her sister and I took care of her all day and we'll be there all day tomorrow and all weekend as well. She's in good hands between her sister, her angel (me), the wonderful nurses at GW and the prayers of all you guys!! I'll update everyone again after she gets off the morphine a little! :-)
