It has been 13 months since my vsg and I have lost 130 lbs. Now at random times about 30 minutes after eating or drinking I get pain on both sides. It starts out very minimal and I can feel it getting worse as if it is moving out growing. It can be har

I started at 351 back in Mar when I had surgery and now I am down to 239lbs. Is 112 lbs in 9 months too slow? I have hit a lot of stalls.

I read on some websites that loose skin can still be tightened after weight loss. Is it true? Has anyone been able to workout and still tighten skin after loosing weight?

Everything I see on their menu is high in sugar or fat. The only thing I know we can have is regular coffee with milk and sweetner. Is there anything else that is ok to either drink or eat?

T-MAC posted a discussion topic 5 years, 11 months ago

Today I got on the scale and hit said 299lb. I have not weighed this low in over 25 years if not longer

I had VSG, after about 2 hours of eating I start feeling stuc as if I haven't eaten in a while, is this normal because if I eat it goes away.

Anyone else experience issues drinking water? Whenever I have a sip of water I feel pain and it feels like a bubble coming up. Even if I put in MIO and it is the same warm it cold. But if I drunk anything else like milk I have no issues.

Has anyone experienced constipation due to hard stool after vsg? I can go a little tiny bit but you can feel a hard piece that just won't go all the way out and you can't push it out because of your stomach pain and risk of tearing. I have been taking

Apparently it is his signature stitching which is why it hurts so much after surgery. Anyone else have him and know how long roughly it takes to stop? I am 9 days post-op and no pain needs seem to help.

I am 3 says post op, they did the sleeve. Anyway I am trying to get in my fluids. One boost diabetic is 237ml. How much can I drink at a time? It is has been 1½ hours and I so far have only been able to drink half. If I have a sip it hurts for a secon

My surgery is tomorrow at St. Joe's Hamilton (Charlton Campus). I'm excited but also shocked that it is actually here.

When you are on optifast, can you lose you sex drive? Ever since I started it I have none whatsoever. It is as if I have been drained of it completely and nothing helps

I started my weeks of Optifast yesterday, I find it tastes really good. Is it normal to feel very hungry while on it? Sometimes I feel sick as if I haven't eaten in days

T-MAC posted a discussion topic 6 years, 2 months ago

I went to see the surgeon today and I have to only do 2 weeks of optifast. My date is March 03/18.

Hi everyone, my Pre-Op appointment has been moved up to this Monday (Feb 12) at St. Joe's Hamilton. Is there anything I need to know? Will I get my date and start Optifast?

Thank you

I have not had any pop or carbonated drinks at all since Sept 09/17 as I was told you cannot have any 2 months before surgery. I didn't think it would be as easy to quit cold turkey as Pepsi was my main addiction and also 80% cause of my weight gain. S

Woohoo, After 1½ months of seeing the internist, I am finally going to see the surgeon on Feb 14th!!! I was told i will most likely need to do optifast for 3-4 weeks

T-MAC posted a discussion topic 6 years, 4 months ago

I was told that after you have surgery, you will no longer feel hungry as that part of the stomach is removed or blocked so the hormone isn't released that makes you feel hungry. Is this accurate?

T-MAC posted a discussion topic 6 years, 4 months ago

Hi, I have a question. In the beginning your stomach will be very small but you still will need 2L of water, protein, and vitamins each day. I was wondering how much water or food can you intake at a time and how long inbetween plus how and when to fit
