The clock is ticking...

Over the last couple of days it has been a wide range of emotions. Well I went from being extremely excited about being approved for surgery to being like wow its really about to happen.  And now I'm frustrated because I've been calling the office and the RN on staff has yet to call me back to confirm my date. I've been calling since the day of my approval to set my date but the lady hasn't responded. The only reason this bothers me so much is because I'm not sure how long this process will be for my Leave of Absence and Temporary Disability. My job says I have to have the paper work sent into HR(my HR department is Atlanta, GA and I still have to wait for my surgeons office to fill out this paperwork) at least 15 days before I start my Leave of Absence or it may not get approved.  And as far as disability they are always at least a week wait to start after the paper work is sent in. So if I can get all of my stuff done way in advance then everything will run smoothly.  All I'm asking is that everything run smoothly from here through recovery at least since my journey to this point has been bumpy...is it so  much to ask??? I guess so. So from here on out I'm claiming and fully own my date! I will try not to let this bother me.


But in other news...


My nutritionist Julian asked me to loose 10 pounds(since then I've gained 5 pounds so its more like 15 now) before surgery....this will be extremely hard but do able. No carbohydrates, Low calorie food. One meal a day and two protein drinks a day. So we'll see how this work out. But anyway have a great week all and if there is any news to tell I will definitely do so.
